Thank you so much. I’ve been going to a coffee shop for the last 2 days at last and trying to draw people and they do move a lot. This demo helps a lot in just trying to go faster and not getting stuck on small details. And the idea of of using parts of other people is great.
In coffee shops you can benefit from the fact that people stay sitting at a table for a while. They will move, but you’ll notice that it’s all repetitive. Leaning their chin on their hand, tilting the head, picking up a cup… so you can get back to Certain movements too when you’re sketching someone.
Dank ju well for that video, Koosje (it’s been a long time since my netherland course in school, sorry to write in english)! Isn’t it just sad? I didn’t even thought about combining a few people into one person. Sometimes I’m just shocked of how limited I am due to the way we learn to sketch and paint in school. Even as a grown up, 47 year old and creative person I didn’t came up with that thought on my own, thought it would not be allowed. I’m enjoying your videos very much and you are already in my sketchbook, drawn with my non dominant hand of course 😉 So fun to share my sketches with my husband and laugh about them! I’m remembering what it’s all about again. Thanks again and greetings from Germany, Frauke
Great tips and insights as always. Dank je wel. BTW, I visited the art supply shops in Amsterdam that you recommended to me. They were good, but my wallet suffered.... The Van Beek store (the one at Stadhouderskade 63) has a fantastic selection of fine art materials and all manner of accessories, paints, paper, brushes, pastels etc. They also have a comprehensive stock of DS watercolours too :-). Thank you so much for the recommendations.
Very helpful reminder. Very impressed with how fast you can sketch and they all look like people! :D I like how you illustrate the legs and hands. Ahh..so much to learn!
Hi. Can you show us more examples for perspectives, architecture and other things too. I learn from you a lot. It is all so excited for me to learn eheh.

Great sketch tips! I always draw with pen, so there's no going back. I find it really freeing. I love your knees:)
This is great! I never thought to use live cams to sketch. Now I'm following all sorts of zoos and city views for the live streams.
Cool!
Aquarium webcams, such as through the Monterey Aquarium, could be challenging and interesting, too!
Great video - thanks so much for sharing 😁
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for your encouragement!!!
Thanks! I have always been afraid to draw people but I'm going to give this a try.
You can do it and you know it.
Thanks for your instructions and inspiration. Fun.
So fun watching the people. Your drawings are so cute.
Geweldige uitleg, dankjewel. Je haar zit trouwens ook mooi. Staat je goed!
Yes! Fun AND helpful! Thank you.

Great tip. I'm going to try the Monterey Aquarium underwater webcams, too.
Love this thank you.
Fun tips. Thank you
Thank you so much
This was really helpful. I am going to try drawing from a webcam, and after that I will do some sketching of people at the park.
This was helpful and fun! Thank you!♥️

Wow excellent! It’s really hard in a place like that to not let your wallet suffer…
This is such a great tip! I’ll definitely give it a try. Love your drawings, your videos, everything!!
This was great, thanks a lot for this!!

Yes the practicing is the thing that makes your drawing evolve! There is no such thing as “perfect”…

Hi. If you scroll through my videos, you'll find videos about perspective, drawing buildings, urban sketching and many other things.
@@KoosjeKoene thank you sooo much 🌹
Great tips. Now overcome my fear and start drawing. 😊
It’s just pen and paper… do it and you’ll be so happy you started!
@@KoosjeKoene thanks Koosje. 😊
Good class, The only issue I had is that your ‘hasty’ figures look just like many of the people I actually see in real life. Scary!
Thank you What was the name of the course you took?
It was an online course by Suhita Shirodkar. I believe it was called ‘lively people’
Thanks, Koosje!! Watching this was VERY helpful.
My art mother everyone
Good! I subscribed, i draw too, i hope that my drawings can inspire
U can control the speed of YT vids
I know, but the ping is that I want to draw people at the same speed as they would walk by in real life.
Perfect timing-I’ve been practicing loose figure sketching. This was fun and helpful
