Hi Koosje, I want to say how amazing you are. I started to watch your videos some time ago, and I keep watching them because of the great “tips” you provide each each, but also to have the opportunity to “see you”. My apologies but that the main reason. In other words, I admire you! Cheers, Rudy
Aha, I bought one recently from Van Beek in Amsterdam. I'm yet to start working on it. My idea is to use some of the many photos I took while in Holland recently, and use them for ideas to paint, draw, sketch in the ZigZag book to capture the holiday and travel experience.
I absolutely agree with what you said about muscle memory! I didn’t draw for over 35 years but returned to it when I retired and joined Urban Sketchers. I was stiff and rusty but I could still draw. It all came back with a little practice.
Thanks so much for the encouragement... not so much to draw but to start exercising again. It's been middle to high 30sC for ages and just too hot to workout but now the temperatures are lowering slightly and my energy is increasing slightly so my training shoes are calling my name. Maybe I'll draw them first before putting them back on!! 😉🙏
I started to find that I was getting away from my sketching so I became proactive and set a reminder on my Alexa EVERY day to be reminded at 2:00 to pick up that pen /brush and sketch/paint. I have been doing this for about 2 weeks now and am feeling much better about my sketching and painting. Maybe I am over the top with this but I am finding and making time to do this for me.

Living proof! I love that.
Thanks for the inspiration, Koosje!

Good for you! Creating a structured way to do this is SO smart. Some might think it’s over the top but I am all for it!
I guess its the same for most of us vacations are over. Time to get busy.
Great!!

What dip pen and nib are you using there?
I don’t know. The nib came with a cheap set I bought at some kind of craft shop years ago. No brand.
