Top vid Simon. I’ve just brought the 8mtr acolyte looking forward to using it on the Thames in Oxford and surrounding area ! So on that front, I brought a spare number 2 section too elasticate What would you suggest for the Thames etc Cheers mate
Hi John I will reply on Simons behalf. We spoke about this whilst filming. Simon felt that a regular on the river would do exactly that. We chose that swim as it narrows & is perfect for the whip. However at some point in a match the fish would probably back off. 👍🏼
I've got these hydra whips in 3m an 4.5m and the Queen whips in 5m superb whips I do like the older white hydra whips more the newer black ones are a little more stiffer than the white version whips great video andy let's have more winter league an whip videos please also how about you film the hajak league

Hi Simon we met on the Thames Festival last summer. Great video. I cannot find a stockist of Hydra Rapide floats on the internet. Can you advise
Tackle and Bates, of course!
@@tomwinterfishing9065 hi Tom like your vids too!
Hello Simon
Am I correct in that the rig connection to the whip has no knot ? Just two silicone, and twizzle ? Thanks Jason
Hi Jay, I will answer on Simons behalf. Yes you are correct. No knot 👍🏼
This all looks like jolly good fun! Whip fishing for roach is one of my favourite things :D Did you weigh 'em?
It was great, 28lb in just a few hours👍
@@siwifishing9722 brilliant. I thought it could be pushing 30, but didn’t want to stick my neck out😝
anyday catching roach on a whip is a good day
🙏🙏
And funnily enough that's exactly what I did today. Fishing with my dad on the nene not all that far from where this was filmed.

I would have thought a no 6 or 1.5mm hollow just through the top 1 should be ok🎣
@@siwifishing9722 thanks mate. I’ll probably string it up with some spare 4-6 I’ve got . Tight lines
would you feed a line over nr the boat as well if it was a match?
