  • Had to split this to two recordings in one because of home nuisances. Even then though this is where things get frustrating.
14 is exactly what the map is named. A war zone. It takes some sneaking about to get your way out of this map. Also the keys aren't necessary or a real option. Just throw a grenade over a wall at an alley way and the barrels filled with mancubai will blast the wall down. Just be prepared for explosion hazards and hitscanners.
After that you are met with a set piece where a cyberdemon and other demons
get obliterated by an air strike. It's awesome. After that and a few imps and hellknights later, we are met with a miniboss before the exit. A Zombie in a tank. Along with chaingunners who can snipe you above a roof. And more hitscanners. Around when you progress into the battle zone.
Map 15 takes place in the suburbs. The houses look really good and resemble more like homes you'd see in the real world. A lot better looking earth levels than retail Doom II. Besides that, it's basically another slaughtermap with another Spider-Demon encounter. Clean the streets without loosing too much health and you are off to the revamped iteration of Downtown from Doom II.
16 was where | had to put the game down for a bit due to the pressure at home. There's a secret level that would take me to a recreation of Hollywood Holocaust from Duke 3D and a Wolfenstein level but but | have no time for secret levels right now. | gotta fight an even bigger battle with the boss enemies again. Another Spider-Demon and a Cyberdemon. They're becoming a frequent common enemy at this point. Archvile nearly destroyed my progress and jumping towards a truck to climb up a resteurant is no fun. It sucks. The Spectre ambush nearly destroyed me but without my marine helpers | wouldn't have made it out. The soulsphere secret helped me a plenty. After all this chaos, I'm off to a subway to reach another part of the city.
    17. I'm in the subway and one challenge I had to face was the cacodemons that harass you outside of the train. Good thing had my marine buddy until he perished from the other demons. As I keep going, I notice the map pack does not give you enough health and that is very irritating. Especially when it's at the end of this level where there are cafés.
18 mirrors Gotcha from Doom II with the cyberdemon and the Spider-Mastermind fight and the archvile surprise.
The rest is a pain though. Sniping galore while actively looking for cells for my railgun, the stupid jump | had to noclip my way back because | ended up stuck in an
alleyway where I'm trapped between a fence | cannot reach and a piece of terrain. Fucking stupid ass jump. At least there was a way to get out of the blood River after getting the soulsphere, what the fuck? I fight the Infernal and dude is annoying.
You can see why | save before the boss starts. This shit is annoying.
19 is where we push things forward. MORE CYBERDEMONS. This is giving me Plutonia vibe with how they use these overgrown imps. It's a good set piece though. Wish the marines were more mindful with the firing so they don't hit me or other marines.
And finally 20. The Tower. The damn thing I had to climb up and fight a kaiju sized Cyberdemon with double wielding arm canons. Not as bad as the default monster cause he doesn't frequent in every map. Also still no BFG which would help me PLENTY but no. After | take em out, | blast a stampede of demons off the bridge that leads me to the Icon of Sins territory. This is where shit starts to hit the fan.
