Making a big ass bottle of Absinthe the Invulnerability is definitely fitting... You drink any amount of that stuff and you can't feel a thing because your soul is straight leaving your body 😂
Your soul also has a hard time returning the next day. That stuff makes for exquisite hangovers if you are not careful.
The water looks so refreshing at the start, wouldn't mind walking the plank into that. Wait, "beware of sharks", perhaps not. 😟
Only problem with having the invulnerability in a bottle, you need to carry a corkscrew with you.😄
The mouse is so cute and it doesn't have an eye-patch!😆
I liked the look of the Lost Souls too, their bandannas must be fire proof.
I enjoyed watching you figure out where all the secrets are, its part of the quest for treasure!😊

I must say this map is a very well designed indeed. I actually do like this one much more cause of the secrets actually helps you out with shortcuts & getting preped up with Mega Armor & Invun & Spinach so you will be all set & save your ammers as best as you can. I always get the Armor 1st before the booty cause I play smarts LOL!

That last secret had me for a while too. Sometimes it's just the obvious one.
Also to answer your question at 16:07, yes, Lost Souls in Pirate Doom 2 have had their health nerfed down to 50; makes it easier to one-shot them with the Musket. I think that info is found in the readme somewhere!

Absinthe is strong alcohol which is pretty good from what i remembered from having it a few times many years ago.
That's what I like a brain-busting challenge.
Okay. The level looks stunning. I am always impressed what the Doom Engine actually can do. The crate maze area was funny. It surely has everything a Pirates heart desires. The little mouse in the corner was a nice little detail too. It is interesting, always when the music changes, the game lags for a second. About the lost souls. I could be wrong but I think in "Pirate Doom 1" they also had eyepatches. But I mean come on. A flaming skull with a bandana? How awesome is that. I love it :) It is also funny that it took you a while to find the actual way to continue the map. Oh yeah and he found the right hole this time. That what she said :D And Absinthe is one of the most deadliest alcohol drinks ever. The music in this map is very cool too. That was a good playthrough. Cringe? Not really. I mean it was your first time playing the map. It was 100 % blind. So don't go to hard on yourself. I liked it. And the next map already looks awesome again.
This level reminds of "The Citadel" level from the first episode of Heretic.

Absenthe is just a type of liquor. There’s one, made with wormwood I think, that causes hallucinations. Cheers!

This is the first Big map but it's so fun. Can't wait for the other maps.
Absinthe is a kind of liquor. It has a really high proof. The kind I bought was 150 proof. I don't know what all is in it, but it tastes like anise (or black licorice). There used to be a myth that absinthe caused you to hallucinate because it was made with wormwood (which is contains a poison called thujone). Absinthe now isn't made with wormwood, or if it is, it is a variety not containing thujone. Hallucinations only resulted from impure alcohol as companies used to be able to throw all kinds of toxic shit in there that was deadly and could cause hallucinations. It is the same reason gin got a reputation for making people crazy when they got drunk on it.

Once you noticed that up-high path, it all came together swiftly, secrets found and outta there. If you do the bridge without the bypass, it’s a trap, enemies all over you.
Yup, it was literally just a matter of figuring out where the heck I was supposed to go. It was all on me.

5:12, that makes sense, and it's logical... but what if those potions work differently?! I have a controversial theory that maybe you don't just _drink_ the potions, including, by extension, the health bonuses - instead, you _discard_ the liquid inside (which supposedly would be a _stabilizer solution_ to preserve the properties of the crystal) and _eat the vial itself._ After all, isn't it at least suspicious that they're called "health bonuses", and not "health potions"? And doesn't Doomguy already inexplicably slurp magical green-glowing iron helmets?

Maybe you did something that lowered the way to the top and that's why you didn't see the path at first? You think the monster would have come down after you if the path was open. I don't know, but what I do know is any mod that lowers the Lost Soul's health can't be all bad. Never thought those little guys needed more than one shotgun blast to down.

It's confirmed Lost Souls have less health. Down to 50.

The Lost Souls have indeed been nerfed. They are thankfully meant to be killed in one musket shot now. Man, I hate these things in all Doom games, whatever their manifestations (the ones in Adventures of Square for example are even more annoying).
I'm glad they got nerfed. In all seriousness, I think they have just a little bit too much health in classic doom.
Well dont be so ashamed of that; i have done that a lot of times in video games thinking there is no way further/way to do this and then.. wham. Yeah i think we all have.
