Once you upgrade the Ram and Processor, that laptop will be speedy and the menus will pop-up quick (almost instantly if using windows 7) and interface launches quickly and will power down quickly in a few seconds. It's definitely worth the upgrade. You will definitely notice the added boost of Performance. Plus you can add Extra Storage (up to 1TB) space Without adding a new hard drive or removing it! I have a 6570b which I restored and upgraded, it now has 16 gig of ram., and a 500 gig ssd., and it came with an i5 already installed which okay, the current OS., is Windows 11. I concur that this range of laptops are well designed for maintenance.
elitebook 6930p here version ati radeon 3450, with upgrade: p8600 -> t9600, hdd -> ssd sata, ram 2x2 ddr2 and optical cd for caddy with hdd for more space. Debian xfce... this machine is very fast.
I have a 6360t with Intel core I5 2430 2.4GH, 8gig ram . I have been trying to update graphics driver that will work perfectly. It will only update to "Intel Hd 3000". I am always stock at black screen. I will then do the safemode thing to disable driver b4 it comes up again. With ur vast knowledge on this laptop model. I will appreciate ur guidance in fixing this problem sir.
Thanks for the comment. So you have the probook 6360t laptop, that is the thin client version. Are you using the embedded version of windows, that may be your problem? If you are using the regular version of windows, you may need to downgrade your graphic driver to a earlier version. The 6360t had as slightly different hardware from the 6350b version. Try going to the HP website and download the graphic driver for the 6360b. If that doesn't work, try downloading the graphic driver for the elitebook 8460p or probook 6460b. They are basically the same laptop and share the same drivers. So one of those drivers should work on the laptop. It will work on the 6360b, but for the thin client, I'm not sure. As I said before, the thin client probook (6360t) has slightly different hardware, that is where the problem is. The thin client version usually comes with a 1.6Ghz celeron BB10 processor. Did you upgrade the processor to the core i5 2430? You can also delete / uninstall the graphic driver and the laptop will still run fine, but the resolution will be at 1280 x 800 (I believe), not at 1366x768. Let me know what version of windows you are running and if the processor was upgraded.
If you don't have any problems running windows 11 on your hp 6360t (Thin Client version), than the fastest processor you can upgrade that laptop with is the core i7-2620m 2.70Ghz. That's the processor I am using on my hp 6360b notebook. its really makes the laptop run faster and boots up fast and the menus and interface is very snappy.
I have Hp probook 6465b, has it amd cpu, it´s horrible to usable for daily task, AMD dualcore awefull, I´ll buy AMD A6 3420m ´´cause has it 4 real core instead of 2 core the actual one.

Yes you can. You can edit 1080p videos using mp4 format with no problem.
