El típico curro argentino! Lo triste es que están instalando una imagen nefasta de Argentina.

When Argentina was separating from Spain they FORCED every single African/African-descendant(women and children included) to fight as frontline soldiers to be cannon-fodder, Argentina wanted to reduce their black population and make it more euro, they also knew Spain was too poor/weak to resist a rebellion so they fought for their independence for a few years and once they got it, they imposed strict immigration laws on people coming from Africa and increased immigration from europe, and all this led to the black population decreasing from 35% down to less then 5%, Truly heartbreaking genocide our people go through all around the world, and its not taught to us, its all hidden so it is forgotten.
Ps: María Remedios was an African slave women forced to fight in the war of independence for Argentina, She fought for all 4 years of the war, lost her husband her son, led many men into battle and won, she lost everything for a country that didnt want her, and when the war was over, she was given nothing and died in poverty, youll never see her in a history book,Argentina just gave her a national day a few years ago, and i think everyone should know her and what she did.

It was the policy of whitening society, many Latin American countries fostered it in the previous two centuries with greater or lesser success, promoting the immigration of Europeans, with the premise that they were the only ones capable of creating civilization in the territories to be populated. and whitewash the local population as much as possible. The United States, Australia, for example, had similar policies, in promoting the immigration of Europeans, with a somewhat similar approach.

The way they were treated is shameful you act like they have not been treated wrong or perhaps you were not paying attention because you're so concentrated on leaving this comment. Obviously they are Argentine but sometimes they are perceived like they are not because of their skin tone what part of that did you not understand. Also if you didn't notice they were mentioning they were getting treated differently because of the way they looked. It's cool that you know your heritage. These people Ancestors in this video have been living in Argentina longer than your Is great grandparents. And have preserved their African Heritage The same way you know your parents have some Italian linean. A problem is some people like to act like they don't have any African heritage. And the truth is many don't even know And the reason why is because of the same reason the lady in the beginning of the video great grandma told her father To marry white people. I find it for the any time we talk about black history it needs to be a victim history the truth is black history is full of victimism. When you are being treated differently because of your skin told does not make you a victim? When you are not allowed to live in a house because your skin tone does that now make you a victim? When you are not allowed to practice your own religion because of your family lineage does that not make you a victim? When people assume things of you negatively because of the way society has used the word black and have portrayed it in the country does that not make you a victim? You are speaking from a privileged point man that you will never understand but how about I give you a chance live one day as a black man. Figure out how to do that and tell me what was the end result some have made that challenge happened and learned so much.

Whilst English-speaking diasporas like USA and Jamaicans identify more with their blackness than Africanity, or rather identify with Ancient Egypt or Ethiopia than Yoruba or Mandinka. Whilst in Africa, the more privileged and educated classes look down on Africanity and strive towards Westernisation. Most Africans don't even think about race, or realise that we are viewed as 'nxggers' by those we strive to emulate whether Arabs or Europeans. There needs to be a huge cultural and psychological revolution amongst all Afro populations.

And all because 'there are no black players in the Argentine team'... black players have played, even in the 1930 team there was a black player. I also don't see Jews or Muslims in the national teams of other countries, and I don't see the rest of the world calling them anti-Semitic or discriminatory... even when we are discriminated against as 'Latinos' in those countries or called 'sudacas' in Europe... it seems that discrimination holds hypocrisy depending on who is being discriminated against.

Thank you brother for educating me a little more about my brothers and sisters, cousins, aunts and uncles in that part of the world. We might have been spread all over the world, for different reasons, but we are one, forever united in spirit and no one could take that away from us.
They talked a lot about being invisible but the African spirit never dies. It can be seen in the dances, music, even certain foods all over the Americas, Argentina included… as well as our genes. Some will deny it but DNA does not lie.
    Once again, thank you.

Racism is still very much visible here today...the current Conservative government has a policy for asylum seekers that says people coming from Ukraine can come here & are welcomed they even went as far as to tell people to let Ukraine asylum seekers come & stay in YOUR house but asylum seekers from Rwanda will be deported. There is an Indian politician who publicly said "it was her dream to see a front page of a newspaper with flights deporting people to Rwanda" So basically they said white Ukrainian is welcome but Black Rwandan are not.
