Glad he's not seriously hurt. Credit to the marshals for getting flags going in a blink, and to the rider following for managing to avoid getting caught up in the accident.
I’ve had some crashes over the last 40 years, never when I was flying balls out at speeds for which I should’ve been jailed, but always at tricycle speeds just enough to break some bones and make life miserable. Now almost age 53 I just stare at my bike all shiny in the garage, and this only helped reinforce my current situation. Glad this guy is ok.
Don't feel bad Doc,my Father taught me how to ride at age 12, I am now 61 { on the wifes computer} I have 2bikes in the house with me. I know my time is up but I can't seem to sell because I do not want anyone to get hurt, accept for a brother all my friends are dead.
High sides can happen so fast. I've had the same exact wreck. I was on the ground before I even realized the rear was getting loose. Makes me really appreciate the Moto riders that are able to save a high side!
I hope the rider Is ok and thank you for the very good prompt action by the Marshalls.. For the information of the viewers the Classic TT is held on the wonderful and challenging "Billown Circuit" not the wonderful and Legendary "TT" course.
Throwing red flags is not up to the marshals to decide. They relay the severity of the incident to race control via radio. Then race control will order the red flag, so every marshals' post shows the red flag at the same time. "Rogue" red flags have killed riders in the past.
Oof, that came out of nowhere. I actually thought they looked a bit slow to crash, but I guess they really were putting some thrust through these old warriors and their skinny pram tyres. Kudos for riding them, not keeping them in a glass case!
Glad he is OK...good trusting work by the marshalls...thank you chaps and lases...without your help.. what could we do.. Not a lot..So thank you all.👍🇬🇧 Simon a brit 🇬🇧 in Spain 🇪🇦

The rider was already out of the groove before they entered the viewing angle. Thankfully it was a slow section and escaped serious injuries. I wonder what the pucker factor was.
It's a pity the camera angle didn't show a bit more of the corner entry too. I agree with you, he seemed to appear in shot, way faster than everyone else.
@@SongJLikes On a superbike with wide sticky tyers no problem or indeed on any modern sports bike on good road tyers, but I am not sure of the capability of those older bikes with their narrow tyers.

That was not the TT. There too many riders too close together. They start at 10 second intervals, only a few riders are capable of making up that time.
Glad rider is ok. I pretty sure he thought bike was going wide and OVER CORRECTED and/or to much front brake. That skid mark in pavement is the front tire. If you watch closely front wheel is turned in way to much for curve.
Glad the rider is ok. I’m new to motorbikes. What do people think was the cause of the accident? Looked like he was losing the back end when he came into shot. Was he applying too much rear brake into the corner?
Glad the news here is that the rider is out of hospital already. I'm always looking for tips on how to stay upright so watched this at quarter speed but was unsure if the skid was due to rear breaking in the corner so came to the comments.. Learnt a new phrase 'highside' so that's useful.
@@Ben-qz4gh Possibly but someone else said they were carrying to much speed into the corner. That would be my guess. The rear end had already come around as soon as it enters the frame. The rider is OK and was released from hospital custody according to his family yesterday. Great job by the corner workers and marshals!
Thank you for the update!
Amen!
Glad to hear he is ok.
Thanks for the heads up. Because that looked a really bad one. Watching the previous riders I was expecting a low side with a walk away.
Mann teavee!! Nice work all round! Glad he's ok 👍👍
As a racer myself we would not be able to do the sport without all you marshal's a big THANK YOU
There's no racing without marshals. The quiet hero's of motor racing.

Just goes to show even a low speed, high-side can catch you out and still bloody hurts.

Yes, he made no attempt to slow down, considering the crashed bike could have swerved in front of him.

slow down there, Valentino

I dunno…. Call me crazy, but he should have been able to get through that corner at that speed… just high-sided it.
I'm guessing he came in hot and was hard in the brakes the way the ass end stepped out so hard

Actually that's the most common one in road racing, it's called a Highside. Too much throttle on a corner causes it every time.
