On a recent visit to The Secret Garden with "Spidey," our Built Not Bought RC Rock Crawler, I noticed how much I was getting hung up on the skid. I made just one change to the setup, and wow, what a difference! Spidey is now running a MEUS Racing Chassis Kit, Rhino Moza 1.9" Super Sticky tyres, and ReVolt Custom 3D Inserts. The rig is running about as well as it ever has. Let me know what you think in the comments, and if there is something I haven't done, I would love to hear about it.
That is really great advice bro, im having trouble with my belly skid on my lcg build with my gladius (AKA the gladiator) lol I've got the injora chassis on it now and it's epic for crawling now just the belly that let's me down 😂
The leading edge on that chassis gets caught up on stuff a lot huh. I like the skid it needs something 3d printed up the front to give it a smooth transition for it to slide better over stuff.
@The_RC_Family yeah it does, I've bent the rock sliders up a little to help but I'm goin to try the shocks like u said to give it a little lift and when I'm next out I'll give u a shout out to ur video for the help bro, I really appreciate it 🤙🤟
@The_RC_Family thinking about I believe that it will help massively, I eas thinking the lower I had the chassis the lower the centre of gravity but it the gives me other problems so I need to find that balance of lcg and performance and like u said raise it up a little giving me a better arch will give me a good over all balance of lcg and performance
Nice video. Tires are working well for your rig. Just wanted to let you know that the 1.9 MOZA tires have a directional tread and from what I could see all 4 of the tires are mounted correctly
The balance of sidehill steeps and then belly too low….i always gonlow…..the forward skid newer lcgs have def help….add height in rear….band the front down….

nice tips to improve our rc crawler, greetings from Philippines, just subscribed
Thank you, and welcome to the family :)
Amazing model, nice video 📷 bro❤🎉😊
Thank you Slava, I appreciate it! The model really knows how to work the camera... I think it has a brighter future than me! LOL
very cool
Thank you beng
This works on a stock crawler as well. Either relocate shocks or put more preload on the rear shock. Also helps to have stiffer foams in the rear.
I appreciate your contribution! It’s always great to hear tips that work for others. Keep on crawling!
I was ready to pickup this chassis and use the Capras but now I'm not sure 😂. I may pickup the same setup you did. Thanks for sharing 👍
Glad I could help, just FYI I might do another build with the Capras to compare the builds ;)
Hey, nice build mate. Just want to know the size of those gorgeous blue washers you have on those rims? Is it m3?
Thank you very much, yes M3 the link is in the description of the video ;)

Ah yes, I did check with Frank before mounting them. Thank you for the kind words John, I put a lot of work into my videos.
