- I went to the Hospital in Thailand, this is a good example of why you may not need travel health care coverage when traveling 🧳. When I first started traveling, I had it. I paid for VUMI VIP Gold Expat insurance, but it was just a waste of money. After seeing for myself, I realized I was just wasting my money. Health care is cheap in Southeast Asia.

Been in Thailand for 15 years
This is my experience of the health system
Its efficient and delivers quality at a cheap price
Had a kidney stone removed at a private hospital with an overnight stay
(I had medical insurance) - but the cost was a "fixed package" deal of 30,000 baht or $800
Often visit a local GP when required and its never more than 1,000 baht (including medication)
wow, that's good to know.
Well, we made it through the "situation", the Big C", so keep on keepin' on, Scotty! Stay healthy and travel freely! I've been following Lucas @ Rides 4 Kickz and I'm contemplating trying Pattaya the 2nd half of next year ... if I can get my budget under control, that is. Take Care!
You can do it, If I can do it, trust me you certainly can
Pronounced 'Soo-wunna-poom' airport.
Thank you!
