Nothing is worse than dry skin in the winter months 😱 What I've found to be extremely effective is a combo of glycerin (a humectant) and petroleum jelly (an occlusive). After showering I apply glycerin directly on wet (wet, not damp) skin, I follow it with a layer of petroleum jelly, then I towel dry deliberately to remove excess product. The goal is to trap as much moisture in your skin as possible. My skin would be a little sticky for up to an hour afterwards but when it dries up completely it's soft and intensely hydrated. I use this on my face and lips, too. Excellent results. Two other upsides is that this combination is a lot cheaper than most moisturizers (which are largely based on these two main ingredients; you're only paying extra for fancy packaging), also, you can avoid a lot additives that are in skin care products.
I didn't know about that method, great tip! I agree, many skin care products are crazy overpriced. I spend more money on serums, eye creams, but I try to spend the least of money on products where I need to use a lot, including body lotions. Currently I have the largest sized Aveeno bottle which is quite cost-efficient.
thank you for the education. I am a native Indonesian. but currently my husband and I are staying in Canada. Please give me instructions regarding a product that I can use for my face, because currently while in Canada my skin becomes dry and sometimes feels itchy. 😢What type of skincare can I use for it? Sensitive skin type like mine sister?

Glad to hear you’re interested in that! Will think of some video ideas surrounding that!
Great video , will try these products thanks 😊
Thanks!
Just in time! The (body) skin care that I brought with me doesn't seem to work here as much as it did back in Asia. 😁
That's true! In the beginning I brought a Nivea body lotion with me, but using it here in the winter it felt like nothing 😂
Thank you for your tips :) it's really helpful
So glad it was useful, thank you!

Yes I saw banana boat sunscreen sold at many stores, although I haven't bought it myself. Cheers!
@@LivinginCanada thanks dear ❣️❣️
Hello, thanks for the recommendations. Do you have any recommendations for a lip product, they also dry out a lot from the cold.
I like to use lip balm from Bioderma. It's mid-ranged priced, scent-free and quite moisturizing!
Thanks for good video. Please add a video about the Amazon prime membership , is it worth?
Thanks for the idea! Short answer: For me it is worth it, but more about that in a future video :)
Nice and informative vlog!
Thanks a lot!!
Heyy !! which cetaphil sunscreen is available in canada ?
I don't know, I've never bought that brand.
Have you tried any of these 3 products so far, or are you planning to? What are your personal favourites for dry skin? Let me know!
