I have the USA version with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, and I have had no problems with this phone. I went from a Samsung galaxy a12, so the S23fe is a gigantic upgrade. It's my 1st flagship and the best phone I have ever had! You people whining about the bezels and the weight of the phone are so ridiculous. BTW, the phone is tough as hell. I have dropped it without a case and about a half dozen times with a crave case and screen protector from chest height, and it survived every fall. Im going to get an otterbox Defender case, a wireless charger, and a 25-watt charger for it as soon as i have the funds.
Thank you so much for your very open and honest review of the S23FE. I am a probably a little older than most of your audience (64) and as such, have very little understanding of all the tech stuff, different processors etc, all I want is a phone that is easy to see, has a nice screen and takes good video and pictures. I don't play any games at all and on occasion watch a bit of you-tube, so I think the FE would suit me just fine. Many thanks
In my View Lookwise GALAXY S23 FE is GALAXY A54 on STEROIDS. Its a good phone if we put Display part side. Its Good phone for those who want Flagship features in Low Price. If they put Snapdragon 8 gen 1 instead of Exynos 2200 it would be nice.
I prefer more compact phones and use the standard S23, however, my wife prefers the larger screens and has the S23 FE (Snapdragon version). Best thing that I can say about the S23 FE? When I'm using her FE, aside from the size & weight difference, it's almost identical to my S23 in day-to-day usage (including the camera).
I can absolutely understand why the Exynos 2200 has such a bad reputation. I had the S22 with this SoC. It was so inefficient that the S22 got the last place in the DXOMark battery rating, I had to charge the phone, especially with 5G, sometimes twice a day to get through the day. Under load, the phone got hot and the performance quickly collapsed and even when taking pictures in summer, an overheating warning kept coming up. The biggest problem was that this was not consistent across all Exynos 2200 chips, but the parts had strong differences in quality, so it became a silicon lottery whether you got a good or bad model. Probably because Samsung couldn't keep up with production and had to increase the tolerance for acceptable chips. I would recommend keeping your hands off this SoC until enough reports about sold devices quality are coming in.

yes, it has nice colors, good cameras and everything but the 5-10% market share of the Exynos SoC's doesn't allow to expect any kind of optimizations for Samsung's very own Silicon. and that's why you only get 4-6 hours of display on time out of it. but i need a phone which is capable of running over a 12 hour's work day and the following night until i charging it the next morning. my s23 base model can can offer me exactly that. but the Exynos Version of the s23 Fan Edition wouldn't. and looking at the s24 with Exynos 2400 it wouldn't be able to do the same for me. so all devices with Exynos inside are wasted money for me!! because they can't give me what i need.
