1:07 When I saw this picture I couldn’t believe it. The four women standing in front of the stone house. That’s my great great grandmas house. She is the one in the blue shirt all the way to the left. Her name was Margarett and we called her Mother Margarett. Idk you but thank you for making this and including her!
I think you are talking about Margaret Miracle. I am glad you found the video. I worked with Rodney Miracle at CAP starting in 1983. I sent the photo to Rodney. I could look for it and send you one too. Send your email. I have other photos of her in her house
It’s funny…every time I watch a video like this, I keep thinking that I might catch a glimpse of someone I know/knew. No luck so far, but I’m happy for you!
I loved this!. I saw a man on here by the name of Collis. My fathers name was Collis and I have never known of anyone having the same name as his. I got a kick out of this!
A different country from my dear Scotland but wonderful and vibrant. I visited Kentucky 52 years ago and I'll never forget it.I met so many wonderful people, so friendly and welcoming. *and the music!*. Everybody can sing and dance and play guitars etc it seemed to me.They even had me singing Scottish ballads. I'm not a very good singer but they were very gracious and tolerant with me! MEMORIES. xxx.
What a sweet memory! There is nothing better than sitting in someone’s living room with a dozen people who love to make music together. I don’t read music, nor play an instrument besides my voice, music is the thing to bring us all together.
Thanks. My home town of Hartford Ky. got hit by the Mayfield tornado...it was an Ef3 by the time it got here. Alot of people got lucky on December 10th, 2021
The thing that gets me about this track isn't what John Fogarty does with it, he nails it, which is what you would expect. But how many other artists would put the track up with a video like this? I just love the respect it pays to real Kentucky people.
Keith Gilbertson is a genius with photo/video/song. A perfect match for this now better-and rightfully-appreciated Fogerty tune. Thanks Keith and John❤️
This song represents the middle class people of America and shows that people can get along with all this racism that some people just don't realize there are black ASIAN an Hispanic in my family !! An we all love each other!!
As a broadcaster in the 60's and thru the 90's even until now. I've never found it hard to find a good song in a hurry as one was fading then a station break, John ....you're style of song writing is amazing. Guitar licks that never quit.. You inspired me, with so many health problems at one time,....not just to play the guitar well, .....but to design and build them my self., ,,,,they sound great, John c, fogerty, Thanks so very much. You're friend, Jerry f, miller And may God always bless you and save you and you're whole family

I lived in KY for about a year. These slides are as real as it gets. Such a depressed society, yet the happiest people. You would be lucky to find work at the nearest fast food restaurant, and that is considered glamorous; better than the coal mines..
This song always reminds me of the beautiful film "Coal Miner's Daughter", Sissy Spacek, Tommy Lee Jones, and an amazing performance by the late great Levon Helm.
this is better than any thing on country radio in fact all john fogerty or credence is better than any thing I hear today I bet most of the counry artists never even lived on a farm to be a country musician I think you need some farm life experience the problem today is no body s got any soul like waylon george allen or tanya tucker glen campbell might have been pop country but he grew up on a farm and had soul
This reminds me of when I was young and I went to the old family members and sat on the front porch and drank coffee and talked about the weather and the garden and if the fish was bitten !!!! Them was some of the first things I can remember .........
That was a great introduction cause it got me bad...just as I started to say this is no John Fogerty Monroe stopped and Fogerty stepped in how great is that...I LOVED IT!!!!

Rick Kilgore farming ? The vast majority of decent country singers/songwriters of yesteryear are from the woods...not from the farm.
