Quick reminder to put a lvl6 exp boost on your ghost, it makes a huge difference in leveling your season pass which gives tons of free materials. I’d also recommend starting your week after reset by quickly clearing all your weekly challenges, that alone should give you a minimum of 5 levels on your pass. [Edit] If you have access to Grasp of Avarice from the 30th anniversary pack, you can get materials from the puzzle section and then continue to reset your progress and just keep running through it. Also equipping a harvest mod on your ghost makes it so every kill in crucible has a chance to reward you with a core.
@@laddinho I actually never noticed that, thank you😂. Still worth equipping at least if you’re gonna be running a lot of crucible, but otherwise yeah, most of the other methods will usually have bigger results
The seasonal weapon you get from Zavala shaxx and the drifter drop seven enhancement cores each, since it’s the same role for each one you can get a free 14 cores from the other two

Thanks for this...! Just returning to the game after an insanely looooong time.... last played 2018 and it's just overwhelming to catch up so vids like this are always nice..! Still trying to get my bearings and all but this is a good start.
I spent 2 weeks straight, farming 3 hours every night of hero difficulty nightfalls. I got a total of 24 enhancement cores and 4 prisms the entire time. The RNG in this game is getting RIDICULOUSLY out of control.
found a good farm earlier, solo strike playlist (put ps4 date forward several days) until you get the nessus battleground where you spawn at top of artifacts edge and hunt a big psion from the hallows... kill the cabal and start the ghost progress, wait until you're on the last wave and let a psion interrupt ghost progress. then run down one of the passages until it says 'maximum distance reached: process terminated', at this point endless waves of cabal will spawn, a new one as soon as the old one is down. and every wave has a boss cabal colossus. make sure your ghost has greater vanguard core harvest and wait for the prisms to roll in! only problem is getting that exact strike, I discovered it by accident. If I didn't need to do other stuff before reset I would have done it a bunch more lol.
Spent about 10 minutes doing this and didn't get a prism drop after killing a dozen or so of the collosus. Not sure if bad rng or if there was something else I wasn't doing right
@@slRing127 oh damn, well I think I got at least one and did it about 8 times earlier. maybe it only works on the same boss once per strike, or there is a cooldown. It does meet all the criteria in the mods description, but perhaps I took it for granted that this would be a reliable farm. Good effort testing it out though, thanks!

I'm a total noob and Destiny can be overwhelming at times but you explained everything effortlessly. I got a long way to go but you got me in the right direction. Thanks a lot bud.
I will always keep saying this to people. If you’re really “hurting” for cores, for 20 minutes a day on all your characters do Banshee’s bounties and Hawthorns weekly by the end of the week if you have that clan perk. At the end of 30days you’ll have around 350 (give or take some rng for dismantles, random drops and seasonal event packages which it self is at least an additional 150-250+). All that for 20 minutes and you can put the game down and do something else. I did this years ago and stopped after my first 2K and stopped doing it. By that point you don’t have to think about them again and your stocks will only go up. I sit somewhere around 6K now. This is a pro tip. You’re welcome.
How do you keep up your glimmer? I'm always hurting for it and i don't want to spend my materials or legendary shards on them? I try not to buy many bounties because of it
@@woeknight852 Those bounties are only 250. I don’t know. Glimmer is a non issue to me. If I ever do find myself low, I just go and buy some from Rahool with planet mats, which is also cheap.

Thanks for the video and as a small side note, hello fresh's recipes are damn good, if you haven't yet, I'd suggest the classic chili for the colder season. It's so good.
Trials is terrible. After 37 matches (many hours), I had 6 wins. Very little to show for it other than a nice Messenger pulse. Hero nightfalls have been my best source of materials. I wish Legend nightfalls were matchmade. They're easy if you have a team, but I don't. That was the absolute best part of the last Guardian Games.
I know this is going to be a redundant question, but... If trials of Osiris requires a team to play (not talking the two times a season when Freelance comes in), how can it be for solo players as a farm method? I'm not being a smartass here, just generally asking to see if i'm missing something. If you can't get a team for ToO, what would be the 2nd option be?
You can solo queue Trials without Freelance. It's a little harder since there's limited communications but you don't need a team to play and you don't even need to go flawless, just wins on the same card.
I've found that if you have the "Greater Core Harvest (Vanguard)" ghost mod on while doing Hero Nightfalls you can get an enhancement prism roughly 80% of the time.
I don’t think they have to or need to at all. But honestly in a many ways the game does and people don’t pay attention cause it not spelled out for you step by step like a Lego toy.
Awesome!!! Thank you Marshix!!! You are AMAZING I’ve been wanting to try the Hello Fresh so I will know with your code. So excited! Thank you for being so cool
I’ve played destiny 1 and 2 fully and both when they first came out but still can’t pay for the dlcs cuz I’m broke so any other way to get good loot would be good 👍🏽
Apparently now you need Prisms to add enhanced traits to weapons, and yet they're no easier to get with how low their drop rates are..... just wonderful.
My biggest problem is prisms and golf balls, I'm always working on builds thus enhancing gear. But Trials is not an option as I'm terrible at PvP and I'm not going to ask anyone to carry me. So I guess I'm stuck converting prisms from heroic nightfalls.
Just farm the mn and gm nightfalls once you reach a high enough level. If you can run a couple a week per character you’ll make good progress with all materials except the cores for crafting gear. You can just farm master wellspring for that. It might seem tedious at times but the more you do it the better you’ll be at it. Works for me since I’m always upgrading and crafting stuff.
The man himself liked the comment 🙏 while he’s here I love the content and you’re the only reason I play the game anymore cause I’m a hardcore solo player.
Killing the knight on the moon is waste of time, unless you're in urgent need of cores and can't be bothered running any activities. As long as you remember to re-pop your matterweave after it gets used, you'll easily use them all up as you're farming. Make a habbit of remembering to pop them after they've been used and it's just another passive source of cores.
Personally I just run Dares of Eternity a bunch, and use the Treasure Keys I amass on the chest closest to Xur in his treasure horde. You get nothing but Legendaries, so you can break down the ones you aren't interested in, on top of any Legendaries you get during the runs. Strange Coins can also net you Legendaries from the Star Horse, or Paraversal Hauls, which can drop both Legendaries and Treasure Keys. It may not be the fastest or the most engaging, but there are a few other rewards you can get from that content so it's something to do in the meantime alongside other objectives.
