- This is my Tamiya TT-02 Type SR
It has a Castle Creations 6900kv sensored brushless motor hooked up to a Castle Creations Limited Copperhead ESC (its just a white case)...
I will be trying this on both 2S and 3S, In this video, it's on a 2S that was storage charged (half capacity).
I have to clean up the wires and figure how to mount the antenna/aerial wire and so on... (ESC covered the hole)
Good Luck to Everyone in this.....
OMG, I think she's gonna take of, Captain! 😜😜🤣🤣👍👍
That's why your going to be the pilot.. I'm going to over night to you with everything needed to make the passes..... LMAO
You have created a MONSTER Bob!!!
🤣 😂
👍 👍 👍 👍
I just hope it's a smart idea!!!!
@@UncleBobsRC
What? Putting a rediculously powerful brushless/lipo system into a small, light weight, and highly uncontrollable Tamiya chassis that was designed for a 540 silver can and NIMH?
Of course it's a smart idea bud, what could possibly go wrong?!! 🤣 😂
Good luck mate, looking forward to seeing this!!!
👍 👍 👍 👍
@@yodadarksideGreenHawksRC Thanks guys!!!! Eddie or someone did call his Frankenstrat Frankenstein, and the man was a MONSTER guitar!!!
WOW!
Hope you can keep it in 1 piece. I thought for sure you would bust out a vintage brushed motor for this challenge.
3s on a 6900kv Castle ...... It's gonna get airborne 😮
Thanks Mike, Funny you should say that, I let a friend use my Trinity 10 turn Cobalt motor & Novak Super Rooster ESC, the only esc I have with no motor limit. As for my car, its go big or go home and I used what I had sitting around, other than the body, I bought the body just for this speed run challenge.
Good luck 👍 and stay safe 🙏
Thanks Dude.... As I always say, speed is fun but breaks for stuff and costs more... I used what I had sitting around, all but the the body, I bought that just for this challenge.. Good luck to you also if your in it.
Nice have fun and let her rip
Working on it, Don't really want to wreck it, this is my racing touring car chassis... LOL
Woah! That’ll be a blast to get out there and let it rip.
Thanks brother!!!!
Whoa Bob!! That is going to fly pal!
That is the plan!!!!
Cooking man thats looking sweet..😎👍
Thanks man.... Wont look so good after this winter, That NYS rock salt will just eat it!!! LOL.
@@UncleBobsRC You are definitely right about the salt man.. its insane how much they use... hahaha.. Thanks for the Sub brother appreciate big time..
@@reitplace4765 Back at ya Man!!!!
Looking forward to seeing it rip Bob
Thanks brother, I'm hoping to get it recorded today and have a video up tomorrow.. Go Big or Go Home!!!
Sounds and looks good. Can't await the run.
Thanks Dirk and good luck to you also my friend!!!
@@UncleBobsRC thanks a lot😊
Holy shite Batman! I hope you have a runway to run that beast on mate. Got my first brushless run out today. All the best buddy.
Thanks my man, Kevin and I been talking about spots to run... The High School parking lot (car park) isn't big enough we feel. A good flat mile long country road with very little traffic would be nice... Hope your run went well (btw, this is the motor that came with the esc I sent you but it was no good out of the box, it would get so hot, even the wires to the esc got hot, I had to buy a new rotor for it). I know brushless could get crazy and as I always say, speed is fun but it also breaks more parts...
Going to be a rocket! Next mission is to keep it rubber side down!
Thanks man and so true... To think I wanted to use the Tamiya 1997 Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR body, but I would feel guilty cutting up the body or doing a Pete Wylie with it... LOL
@@UncleBobsRC lol yeah that was painful to watch!
Well welll well Sr the time has come now huh.
Almost, have some "loose ends" to take care of... LOL
Hi there Bob, oh my, I have my fingers crossed for you 😊😊I am wishes for a speed run and no breakages for you. 🙏🤞best wishes to you all 😊
Hey I thought you were on my side lol.
Thanks John, it does seem to have some balls....
@@madmustangrc214 LOL
@@madmustangrc214 hi Kevin, well, I’m natural when it comes to the competition competitors 😊😉😊😉I’ve got to keep my stake money somehow 🤣😂🤣😂😎🫣
No no no he has Mark your mine LMAO.
J/k all in fun here
awesome,let it rip brother
Hammer down dude!!!
Ok, you really are going to need spare tires and wheels after the first test run, tearing tires off the wheels on a bench test. WOW!!!!!!!
Thanks brother... Those are the wheels/tires off my Yaris kit, I needed something to use to set ride height and didn't want to pull the foam tires out of the storage bag. Sadly, I don't have spare tires.... This thing frightens me!!!! LOL
Yikes! Ludicrous speed engage!
Only as good as the power going to it... Use a crappy battery pack he'll get a crappy run... use an $40 dollar or more pack and speed might go up 2 to 5 mph or more, all about the internal resistance of the pack and voltage. Those old race packs we had to assemble back in the day had more voltage per cell than a $20 dollar sport pack, sadly, you cant buy single matched cells anymore, last one I bought was @ $96 back in 2002 maybe...
