    So you've grown up and have your own Porsche but still feel its lacking a bit of power? No worries the engineering team at IPD has you covered! The team at Innovative Pro Design is known the world over for their revolutionary and patented Porsche Plenums which in produce 10, 20, some times even 40 extra horses at the wheels. How is this possible? (see more)
    Quite simply, Porsches OEM T-Pipe & Turbo Y-Pipes leave a ton to be desired when it comes to smooth and proper air-flow. Where as the OEM components are mass produced from cheep plastic and act as a literal wall to air flow, IPDs over sized plenums with tapered runners and dimpled interior surface offer a silky-smooth pathway for your engine to breath like the race-car it was destined to be.
    When it comes to bang-per-buck for power, nothing comes close to IPD's intake plenums and Y pipes... all from a simple, made in the USA piece of aluminum that can fit in your hand.

    I installed one of these plenums on my 68 VW beetle, and it dyno’d here in Mexico at 37 rear wheel HP. That is a big upgrade I think, and my girlfriend loved the dimples. Keep up the good work guys.

      @@cecilnoriega7276 when you say drill hole in exhaust bend you mean inside the tips right I've seen this done but the only one of the things you said that adds power is the plenum. On a 986 S i have installed the Plenum with 74 mm TB. The power in mid range is ok but the car looses all torque in higher gears. No power in 6th gear ... no acceleration ... seems the air velocity is going down by a 74 mm TB. Tried that several times, disconnected battery from ECU, adapted TB .... no success in power. Installing back original Plenum with 68 mm TB and the torque comes back. Have tested that again and again ... the 986 S just looses power and does not even reach 7200 rpm anymore with a 74 mm TB. Have also installes a wideband O2 sensor to check Afr. Afr almost looks ok but now power gains with IPD and 74 mm TB ... it is rather loosing torque at higher rpm

    • @harrym1170
      @harrym1170 3 года назад +2

      You need to have it tuned for the change in flow patterns. The cars tune is for the original design.

      @kevinjames991turbo 2 года назад

      You are 💯 correct. I wasted money on that Plenum. I wish I had known that info before I purchased it. Factory is 100% better. The y-pipe also defeats the purpose as well it starts off big but then goes back to small intakes 🤦🏾‍♂️. Money wasted. I had to discard the whole system and start from scratch with the better Y pipe

    For $800 a pop, it should have at least been chrome plated. Nobody can really feel a claimed 15 horsepower increase in a motor that already has 500+ hp. You only feel it because you paid a fortune for it and you've psychologically committed yourself to feel it so bad that you have to believe it due to the placebo effect. Otherwise you would have to admit you waisted your money and that's not an option. Still, it does looks better than the factory plenum.

    • @swansmeister
      @swansmeister Год назад +1

      So basically you are saying you can't afford it and therefor you hate on the product. 800dollars for 20hp on an N/A engine is pretty good.

    • @hellbent7062
      @hellbent7062 Год назад +1

      @@swansmeister I think "hate" is a bit extreme. I'd say cautious, skeptical or even critical opinion is more appropriate for my comment. Because I dont love it or hate it. How can you logically conclude "hate" after I clearly said I think it looks better than factory? "Affordability?" That’s also a bad guess. I own a Porsche Panamera Turbo that's paid in full, so that's 2 strikes. Don't quit your job. You'll will never make it as a psychic. My point remains the same... "don't fall for a product just because it claims it will add 20 hp" Those sales pitches work so well on the uninitiated. Fact is, NOBODY can really feel a 20 hp gain in a 500 hp car to confirm if its true except in their imaginations. You would have to get it dynoed yourself and these companies are betting that you wont. Turbo Panamera require a 4-wheel drive dyno and those are not near as abundant as typical dynos. There's only one or 2 in my whole state. So, customers mostly just take the manufacturer word for it which is bad for you and great for them. I have no idea how you got "Hate" out of that. Affordability? Well, lets see, I didn't pay $800 for this. Instead, I purchased one for $1,050 for the one from Fabspeed because in my opinion it is a much more complete system that looks much better but most of all because I can afford waist money on it. I only purchased it for its looks. I didnt fall for the hp sales pitch. Just remember, you can't increase air volume in the plenum if there's still an exhaust restriction and the intercooler itself is restricted at the neck and zero increase in psi from the turbos. It's like trying to blow through a small straw (the intercooler) into a big straw (the plenum) thats partially clamped on the other end (the exhaust). Blow hard as you want, it's not gonna do anything until you open up the other end (the exhaust) and get rid of the bottle neck coming out of the intercoolers and increase Turbo psi. Go take a look. The intercooler outlets are a full inch smaller than the plenum it's blowing into. It's blowing the same amount of air regardless of what you attach to it. Too many other restrictions.

You're the one who contacted me over an opinion that I gave over 2 years ago. If it triggers you, well, thats your problem. You have some serious issues. For 1... You spend way too much time trying to change other people opinions on the internet. Thats extremely stupid. Don't you know that's a fools errand? I guess not. A real successful rich person wouldn't even waste time for this kind of nonsense because time is money to a rich person but sadly somehow you have time. This make you kind of an idiot. People make up these fantastic stories like you all over the internet every single day and you just made yourself into a statistic. That makes you a full throated idiot for sure. Nobody gonna believe you fantasies and most importantly nobody even cares! Because again, this is the internet where people like you can claim all kinds of nutcase fantasies. This is a place where a woman that look like a wildebeest high on crack and a orangutan that was put inside the Hadron-Collider and slammed together at lightspeed can uploade someone else's picture and make the world think she looks like Beyonce. Anybody on earth can get on the internet and claim all the BS you say. I can do it too, check this out, I owned 2 of the tallest buildings in Dubai, I owned a small diamond mine in Africa and I had an office on the top floor at the world Bank and I had my own international gold depository when I was an secret operative for the US government but I'm retired now. I sold everything and now I travel around the world in my own private Typhoon-class nuclear submarine just to go deep sea treasure hunting for sport 🤣😅! This is the internet dude. So now I own you! Hmm I did go out and get it for my own Porsche as well, and I went to my own independent dyno at the time and saw results (was hard for me to replicate) but I do recall the car has to run for awhile to adjust for the new flow, and then the gains were noticeable. On another side note I also ran the plenum and the stock one through a flow bench and then I really saw the difference in numbers.

    Not sure this guy really sounds like he knows more than Porsche engineers and R&D history... and they don't cheap out on parts on their cars. The black plastic "T" might look basic, but some say there's a harmonic ramming effect that it's conducive to. HP gains may be temporary with some mods since the battery disconnected and car will run rich initially while it relearns. Another dyno test later would yield true data.
