They are very important. driving experience. I feel that the Pacifica is so relaxing and soothing to drive it and super comfortable while driving it’s like sitting on your couch. While driving. And spacious.

And our Game Boy obviously. As a kid, I would prefer this Pacifica over any of the "trendy" but extremely bland crossovers we see on the road today
1000 km in a day, that's nothing, it's only a 10 to 12 hour drive, so a normal workday. On December 22, 2021, I drove from Chicago to Miami non stop, that's a distance of 2300 km, it took me 24 hours of non stop driving, only stopped for fuel and food. The furthest i ever drove non stop was from Chicago to Las Vegas in 2015, it took me 31 hours to drive the 2900 km.
@@AviationNut you are a powerful driver friend. But this is a comment about remembering a good memory of a family journey. It was not meant to brag. I hope you have a good day.
I don't know what is considered a "Comfort factor". All I can say is that this one is 10/10. I drove from DC all the way down to Miami, not once, not twice, but three times over the last 2 years. All the three times I drove it in one shot, meaning, between 16 to18 hrs driving, with stops for picking up food and gas. All the times, other than mentally tired, my body was perfect, not tired, not with pain. If that's not 10 pts for comfort, I don't know what it is !!
I remember our family's first minivan was the Town & Country (the name Chrysler used before they recycled Pacifica), and it was the '93-'94 model (at least, that's the year we got it). I remember being blown away with it having a digital dash at the time (it showed your MPG on the screen as a single number instead of having the usual gauge). It had passenger-controlled air settings. (So we'd always argue over who go to sit in that seat). I remember thinking how cool it was, even though in hindsight it was probably pretty standard for the day. (Also a few years into owning it, the digital dash completely shut down, luckily we were able to restart it). This is why I've always liked minivans, they usually seem to hide a lot of interesting features behind apparent simplicity.
Im a single man in his 20s and god damn i would love to have this thing to go on endless roadtrips with my dog and play playstation at rest stops in between lolol
A fully electric one is more likely for the European market after Britain voted to ban all sales of combustion engine powered vehicles in the next 15 years ish maybe it was 10
I anticipate a ton of these being bought by livery companies. These would make huge business sense. Think about it. $30,000 cheaper than a Suburban, but just as nice, opens it's own doors, and gets better fuel economy. Minivans are just now starting to cross into the realm of luxury that limo passengers demand, and I hope Chrysler remembered to include black over black as an optional color combo.
I have a 2019 Pacifica Limited that has most of the features this one does. I don't have the fam cam or the 360° camera, I also don't have AWD. Using the touchscreen to access the heated and vent controls isn't an issue. You make it sound so inconvenient but it's not, you're being a little dramatic there. I use my Pacifica as a Lyft driver and it's the best investment I've ever made. Holds up to 7 passengers, power is great, rides smooth, and the automatic sliding doors are a Lyft drivers best friend. This thing has made me a LOT of money.
I was literally looking for a comment explaining that the button was for the stow and go seats. Having a dodge minivan I see myself continuously moving both front seats to use the stow and go storage.
No center seat in the 2nd row. We have two in car seats and my wife being able to sit between them is valuable. On our Odyssey you can remove the center seat and the move the outside seats towards the center if needed. Its about the only better feature of the Odyssey compared to this, but a deal breaker for me.
@@jackd8147 Oh, so you always say the long form of everything and never abbreviate or condense? Chrysler has a Setting where your Heated Seats come on its own once it hits 40 degrees or lower outside. Also you can drag the Heated Seats app down that way it's on your Home Screen for quick access.
It’s because the minivan buyer is the practical buyer. They recognize the utility of the minivan, the utilization of space, and how easy it is to get in and out. Therefore, in my opinion, practical buyers are typically the “nerds”. Nerds buy function over flash. With SUVs becoming trendy and more utility(go anywhere) in the late 90’s, minivans went out of style. And minivans have stayed out of style. However, I think that with Millennials getting older and having more kids, minivans becoming more luxurious, having better styling, and more people other than nerds getting into minivans; I think they’re starting to become more popular in the past few years. But I have a hard time seeing a mass exodus to minivans like in the late 80’s when SUV’s are still dominating. And the trendy/popular parents are sticking to high line SUVs. But I think with refined styling and a killer marketing campaign... they might take a bite out of large SUV sales. But I think it’s a hard sell to the trendy/popular parents when the rest of their friends are all buying high line SUVs. Again, I think it’ll have to take a killer marketing campaign with the perfect spokespeople to sell it.
@@toddpanzica8679 With AWD now on 2 minivans, they'll at least gain back part of the market share. Vans have much more interior space and practicality than SUVs, and AWD will give most of the off-road capability the average consumer is looking for.
I used work at a car rental place and we had two of these vans. They where blacked out , but people always wanted them... had cool little easter eggs too like under the center console. There was a rubber tray that showed every caravan up the Pacifica..
Doug you didnt show the most important part of the van... The stow n go. I know you called the 3rd row stow n go but its not. My 97 honda odysse had folding 3rd row. The stow n go is chrysler patented 2nd row in floor and for that reason the other manufacturers aren't allowed to copy it. 2nd and 3rd row fold down seating are the #1 feature i look for in a minivan. Ps love the channel and i believe you to be a truly genuine guy.
Thanks for saying this..I thought I was the only one that missed it. He didn't show the quintessential 2nd row stow n go feature. That's really all I'm here for plus the newly added all wheel drive option..someone commented that this model (all wheel drive) doesn't have the 2nd row stow n go seats. Then I'll just go to the Toyota Sienna.
AWD does have 2nd row sto n go...except not the Pinnacle trim because the seats are extra thick and won't fit into the pockets in the floor. It will have the pockets in the floor for hiding kids toys or your chocolate you don't want to share. The hybrid model does not offer the 2nd row sto n go because the hybrid components are under the floor there. (3rd row seats do fold flat though.)
If you are a 90’s kid you grew up in a Chrysler minivan whether you know it or not. I was brought back from the hospital in one. They are the most comfortable vans in the world and also the BEST. We own an Odyssey, I’ve ridden in many Siennas, and I want to go back to Chrysler. I want one of these. I’ve ridden in every minivan in America. Forget the Odyssey, Sienna, and Sedona. Chrysler is still KING of the minivan. The Pacifica was the first hybrid minivan and the only luxury minivan on the market. Nothing else even comes close. It’s like a private jet for the road. Chrysler invented the minivan and they are STILL innovating till this day. Chrysler is a LEADER in the minivan segment. No other minivan has this kind of attention to detail. This is the only minivan I would be proud to own. Bye Odyssey, hello Chrysler. I missed you. The Chrysler minivan is the Swiss Army knife of vehicles. You can camp in it, sleep, have sex, do yoga, haul stuff, move stuff, and pretty much do anything with all that space. Thank you Doug for showing this gem to the world in a way ONLY you can. Thank you for giving Chrysler the respect it deserves! Pacifica is one sexy van. And that color? I’m in love with this minivan. SEXY AF! 😍
OMG I have watched 5000 Pacifica videos and you are literally the only one who touches on that third row. YOU ARE LOVED! May God bless you with health and good fortune!!

From the website, it looks like the center console is only available in the Pinnacle. The standard trim levels still have the older center console design
Yes, having owned one, that was the only gripe I had was the the 2nd row seats wouldn’t stow without moving the front one all the way forward. Nice to see they made that a little easier

I recently did a 30 hour road trip in a Pacifica rental. I know that I'm a middle aged man these days, but, I want one of these! I've never had a better rental car, nor have I ever been more comfortable on a road trip, period. -and that was just a crappy base model rental... The Pacifica is dope and I ain't even got kids, but I am a drummer xD
Isn’t it crazy? I was supposed to get a Chrysler van rental but they gave me a Sienna. The experience has converted me to a van fanatic. The only people that don’t fall head over heels for vans are those that have never driven one. New base model vans are more comfortable and functional than most any high end SUV.
I can’t even imagine what Honda is gonna do when they fully redesign the Odyssey. Thing is gonna be so stuffed with features it’ll probably even come with kids
I unapologetically love my mom's Pacifica (tho it's a 2019 model in the Limited Trim). It's very comfy, plenty of space, and the engine actually has a bit of pep considering it's lugging along a huge brick.
literally bought a 2020 Subaru BRZ Last Saturday, and now am watching Doug's Minivan extravaganzas, looking at all the features people with kids lust after
Because people are finally realizing that if you have to use three rows for passengers and cargo, the minivan is the best most economical option. Compare the price of a luxury minivan 50k vs a loaded Suburban 75k+
Something I learned today: If you get the pinnacle hybrid. - you don’t get the stow and vac and the 3rd row is manual and not powered. I guess they wanted to save on power to get more mileage
Probably not... the vacuum cleaner canister is where the plug-in charger is stored and the 3rd row power seats add weight... and the hybrid GVWR would be too heavy with the battery and all the additional features. (which is why the hybrid isn't rated for towing either)
@@vursuh It was an older model with the manually-folding seats. He was kneeling on the seat and reached over to pull up some sports equipment, and the seat flipped and pinned him between the seat and the tailgate. He managed to get to his cellphone and called 9-1-1, but the operator thought it was a prank and didn't send help. His father went looking for his van and found him hours later, by which time he had died of asphyxiation.
Dear Doug, those front seats move forward so you’ll be able to fold middle seats under the floor and have a complete flat back. The beauty of Chrysler minivans.
I think Doug did this van a disservice. I drove a Voyager last month when I had to move some stuff and I was impressed by the responsive power that it had. Plus it rode quite smooth to the point where I was going 70-90mph and had the urge to go even faster to see what it was capable of. Plus it looks way better than the out dated style of the Doge Grand Caravan.
I hate to rain on your parade Doug but some of the options that are in this model have been around and standard in many Town & Country, Caravan, Pacifica and Most recently the Voyager. Some are the extra USB ports, umbrella spots and the moving front seat. You also missed the second row heated seats. I would like to see you review the base model of these new high end models as well. That way people see what's out there in their price range.
The button to move the front seat forward is to allow for more space to stow away the middle seats. They are also deactivated when driving. Also if you remove the floor mats in the middle row the seats should be able to fold into the floor.
I was just going to post the same thing. It's not a more legroom button. We love the stow and go on our town and Country, but manually moving each front passenger seat with their dedicated power seat controls is a bit annoying. I really like the idea of this single button on the new Pacifica's to move them forward and out of the way without even having to open the front doors. And then he flips the seats like he wants to get in the back row, but didn't put the head rest down. I'm sitting here laughing because he clearly doesn't understand the stow and go seating at all.

I don't think people realize how cool mini vans are in terms of all the cool features

I still don't understand why so many people are too insecure to drive a minivan.

I don’t think the AWD models don’t have Stow N Go due to the additional drive components for the rear wheels.
Yes he did at 12:18
Thanks for saying this..I thought I was the only one that missed it.

We own an Odyssey, I’ve ridden in many Siennas, and I want to go back to Chrysler. I want one of these. I’ve ridden in every minivan in America. Forget the Odyssey, Sienna, and Sedona.

I’m so surprised he didn’t figure this out. When it’s not being used to store the seats, It can also just be used as regular floorboard storage
I was just going to post the same thing. It's not a more legroom button. And then he flips the seats like he wants to get in the back row, but didn't put the head rest down. I'm sitting here laughing because he clearly doesn't understand the stow and go seating at all.
