Wow! This is epic! Robert Cabral wouldn't disapprove - but he wouldn't take the risk of making a 20 minute video on prong collars! While you don't have a massive following now - I predict your videos will have a very long shelf life.
After years of walking with dogs I just got the point about a year ago into the pressure/released pressure/released leash as an issue and personaly I think with some dogs take a little or much time and effort for let'em more or less in the same understanding port. The fact is: the must we learn about it, the better they can understand us ! Best wishes thanks for share is a very good channel. 🙏 🐾 🫂
Your videos are getting better and better. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos. What is common knowledge to some, for others it is a great introduction.
There is so much I want to say! This was an incredible video! On so many levels. The prong collar is something I use every day. The misconception is that I am using it and hurting my dog. Completely untrue. It is a way that I can communicate with my dog and have him understand clearly. The tool used properly is the key. I am not choking my dog. Dogs are smart. They will get the message without having to abuse him. 100% Herm sprenger is the way to go. Loved this video so much! Can I also say I have so many questions with Brad and the collar with the leash, but I will keep them to myself and will chat privately with you Kay on that!! 😂😂😂😂
Thank you for info. I’ve had the HS 2.25mm for years now but I just purchased the 4mm for my Cane Corso. The 2.25mm was bent when my dog got attacked by 2 loose GSDs. The prong collar actually hurt one of the GSD’s mouth when biting down. My dog defended himself well and he’s ok overall. Owner of the GSDs apologized and luckily nothing worse happened. I was thinking of going thicker to 3.2 or 4mm anyway since I got the first HS when my boy was a puppy just added more links. I also use a backup collar always.
Great video! Have been thinking about switching over from the slip, and this is the push I needed. Totally wasn’t expecting to see MaligatorDad on the leash 😂 I wonder if prong collars work on husbands 🤣🤣 thanks for the great video!
I have an airedale puppy but after putting the slip lead it the correct place as you instructed it inevitably lips down almost immediately. Very frustrating
Awesome video! That’s amazing none of your Mals have ever shown reactivity. I’ve had multiple trainers tell me the breed is prone to it or even that all Mals on some level have a form of it. Crisis is so beautiful and getting big! What do you do if your issue is the dog pulling rather than not wanting to go the direction you’re going? I don’t want a prong to cause too harsh of a self correction. My Pup will pull into the pressure ahead of me rather than plant or go a different direction.
Be more interesting! Do what it takes to make your dog want to come to you! This includes bribery with high value rewards/treats 😊 Keep your sessions short to start.
Yep, been in Mal rescue for 15 years.. they definitely lean more towards reactive than not. They’re a tough breed which is why there are hundreds, if not thousands, put to death every year. Sad days for the breed.
Hello, just a question iam looking for reputable breeder in Louisiana or close to Louisiana. Everyone says they are legit but not quite sure. May you help me out if possible.
So would you calling her name are making a Kissy sound brings her back to you? I know the leash is a little taller but I’m wondering if the name-calling or Kissy sound is what she’s coming back for? She’s very pretty I see a lot of Taverne in her
Just want to add that using a long line may not be best when introducing a prong... A 6 foot leash will stop dog from accidently getting a sharp correction. I notice you're not giving the full length, but people might not know to keep it short in the beginning.
Glad you got your man trained good... Don't take that disobedience from him lol gust playing this helped a lot for me and my wife... Hope she dose not put that one me for practice....

Nothing wrong with Hey guys welcome back to the channel😊

Storm looks like hyper atitude, always searching for something at the distance. He is beautiful. Best whishes !
Does it matter if the prong collar is lob sided from the center plate to make it fit or is that not ok?
Try to distribute them as evenly as possibly between the solid prongs l.

That is the exact same problem I’m having with mine

Missed it live dealing with my bank 😭😭 Love this video!!
Is 6 months the youngest you would introduce to a puppy?
It depends on the dog and what y’all are doing. I know that’s not what you wanted to hear lol
Thanks for a great video
Prong collar is a must for a strong dog!!
I love the tactical pants ! Wat is the brand? I have a Mix Malinois using a prong collar to stop jumping up at 9 months now it’s working ❤

What age should i introduce the prong ? My girl is 5 month old now
My mal is 4.5 months and our trainer introduced it to her today.

Yes, me calling her name is recalling her. Kissy noises are just to get her attention.
@@MaligatorMom OK this makes sense to me and I like it a lot thank you
Brilliant!
Need to say very helpful also the scary face mask in the back freaked me out lol
