Half of the home is decorated for fall/ thanksgiving and the other half is Xmas 🦃 🎄 😆( it’s slowly transitioning)

It's a Swedish tradition, incredibly pretty and charming when you're walking outside and all the windows have these stars... 🤩
Whether I buy or don’t buy from your video, I appreciate having the walk through. I still shop IKEA, but online only now to avoid Cov1d. Ever since IKEA discontinued the catalog, I’ve really found it difficult to see how to put together their new pieces. I wish they would at least consider putting together a true online catalog. The individual “featurette” pages on their site just don’t cut it. Thanks for continuing to film shopping trips 🥰

My tree doesn’t have a color scheme because we collect ornaments when we travel + handmade ornaments from my little one. So to balance it out, I’ve switched to using neutral wrapping paper. I’ve found some really cute kraft papers the last few years with white or tone-on-tone patterns.
I ❤ how much variety ikea has. There's so much to see. Those lanterns are very pretty, and so are the ornaments you picked. Can't wait to see your tree this year!
You have the BEST taste in Ikea decor. Gets my creative juices flowing all the time. This was great!
My decor is a lot of cream white, olive green and a beautiful warm wood tone. So last year I decided to start decorating for Christmas with a lot of cedar stems. No red anywhere. The tree had wood ornaments, black, and few touches of a rose gold/terracotta color. Was so pretty. My wrapping always has a theme to go with decorating. So I used black craft paper, brown craft paper and I used a lot of twine and simple ribbon and pieces to cedar. Going to pretty much do same thing thus year.

I love Sunday videos with Kristen! I don't always match my wrapping paper with my decor, but all of my presents are wrapped in coordinating paper, which I usually buy at the Container Store.

I have decorated my tree in copper decorations for years! I love it.
I do the same with silver and I never got tired of it.

The tree printed gift bag is my favorite item.
I used to like the silver / gold wrapping paper until I found out that they can't be recycled. Since then I try to use the more of the gold-hint natural brown ones with ribbons to make them special. I also re-use paper whenever I can. 😊
I color code or use a particular character for each member of the family. There are three of us. That way on Christmas morning, it is easy to hand out the Christmas presents.
I have three trees in different rooms. They all have there own themes.😊

This year I'm going for kraft wrapping paper, nothing shiny or glittery so it can all be recycled. The brown/natural paper with minimal printing will work in my cosy warm earthy living room

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good video Kristen. This year on my holiday decoration palette I'm sticking with the classic Red, Green, Gold. I purchased the wreaths at IKEA for all my windows after the holidays and got a great deal. Furthermore, I'm only placing a beautiful wired ribbon and made a bouquet style bows with long tassels and that's where the red comes into play and the green from the wreaths and the gold from my crystal ornaments & I'm done with the entire house. Lastly, I purchased these large 35 inch stars on Amazon and I used them on my back yard, they look fantastic. Take care, Happy Holidays... Abrazos

The original idea for the paper stars is to hang them in the window actually. I just love seeing an apartment building in Sweden in December with variations of the stars or the triangular electric lights/ candle holders in every window. We neeeed that in those dark months ❄️❄️❄️

Happy Sunday Kristen! Love it when you take us to IKEA! I'm starting to decorate. Need to get my outdoor pots done before the earth in them freezes 😂 they finally have the evergreen boughs out at the market too. My decor is very natural. Cardinals are my tree topper, along with a cardinal tree skirt and cardinal garland lol ornaments are birds and little animals. I've had the same tree for a few years and I'm super happy with it

I got an IKEA Christmas tree, collar, and ornaments in jewel tones last year…I love it! I have terra cotta leather sofa & chair, so the jewel tones and more muted pillows look better than traditional Christmas red & green.

I'm only decorating my bedroom this year because I'm sick and have to lie there a lot. I have a small Christmas tree and I bought the yellow ball set from Ikea. Love the simplicity of the decor.

I just repainting my room in white and black, so im adding a Xmas tree to my bedroom and the color palette is going to be black, gold, deep green and cream white 😊
Our decor is classic red and gold.
I have two Christmas colour palettes that I alternate each year. This year is burgundy and gold. Last/Next year is red and white 😊
I bought a couple of the paper stars with stands last year. They are very thick almost cardboard and will last for years.
I recently redecorated to have an autumn palette year-round. I'm thinking about doing the same for our Christmas decorations. I've traditionally done red, green, black and white. I may switch but I'm not totally sure.
For wrap I’ve started using Kraft paper with plaid ribbon

I haven't bought wrapping paper in many years but my recycled supply is very low so I'll likely pick up a roll of brown craft paper and dress it up with a ribbon, greenery or my teenager's artwork.
Very nice to see everything for the holidays. We went to the Memphis IKEA last weekend and almost everything holiday was sold out. When did you shop and in what city?
I keep the gifts from me in one basic color, often brown shipping paper, then go all out with ribbons I have saved for years. Santa brings each child presents wrapped in a different color paper. Especially good when children can’t read.

My intentions are alway to have perfect wrapped gifts but I over buy and scramble at the last minute for inexpensive wrapping paper or gift bags
For wraping paper, I use all silver and each family member has a different color of ribbon.

Wow! Your IKEA is sooo clean. Here in 33602 it’s always dusty with paper all over the floor. The furniture pack section is so overridden with trash and boxes and pallets. The plant section has dirt so that you can’t roll your carts. Also it’s hard to breathe. Forget the rug section, it tastes awful!!
Y’all are decorating like my grandmother decorated, and she’s been long gone and lived almost 90! And you know why you don’t know that the tradition of Christmas that’s going back to the old times is what it is because we don’t have family gatherings and holidays today in the 20th century like we did in the 19th century

I find lots of different wrapping papers not to my taste. I chose one color or pattern. I have a collection of snowmen ornaments, so I stick with silver and white, with a bit of red!

@@joansmith6844 I have furniture from 15 years ago and believe me, it has nothing to do with today's quality. Granted, Ikea furniture has never been made if good wood in most cases, but it had very pretty designs. Not anymore. Most of the "new" designs look really tacky.
