Leaf Footed Bugs On pomegranate

- I have had leaf-footed bugs on my pomegranates ever since the fruit started developing. They have a proboscis that they use to puncture the fruit to feed, but end up damaging the fruit in the prosses. At 2:10, I open one of the pomegranates from the tree and show the damage the leaf-footed bugs can do.
I have been using a Dawn Dish Detergent and water in a spray bottle. I have to search for them throughout the tree and spray them directly. It immediately disables them and they die. I'm going to try and use a hose sprayer to do the entire tree an d hopefully I'll get the ones I could not find.
I've never tried it, but I was wondering, does it help prevent the bugs from coming back as well? It's a loosing battle on my end.
What kind of concentrate or ratio?
I have heard that the best treatment for leaf-footed bugs on pomegranate trees is to spray the tree down with kaolin clay.
This is pretty cool! I've never heard of this before, but it looks promising since it won't kill beneficial insects on accident. I will try it next year. Thank you!!!
How we control new shoots of pomegranate and cricking of pomegranate fruits
You have to go hunting for the little buggers. There is no residual effect.
