- It's the summer of 2022 and finishing up our first flower cycle at @Spicyexotics and we encountered a high volume of flower bud loss. This was due to the pest, the Leaf-Footed bug. We talk about why buds fail and how the Leaf-Footing bug is different. We also discuss ways of removing this pest.

Hello. I have just started with DF. I notice that you are still using the drain pipe for your trellises. I reviewed your RUclips vid from 7 years ago, and the only difference I am seeing from then and now is that it doesn’t look like you are using the burlap any more? Maybe just burlap for new plants growing up the trellis and once they have reached the top then no need to include it any more? I just built 2 using the corrugated drain pipe, hopefully it will be strong enough. I’ll be planting my babies when it gets cooler, (heatwave in CA right now).

Yikes. Glad to see you have some remedies. How is the issue now after a couple months?
It's better. We moved our plants to landscape fabric and this helps alot.

Please suggest anything to control aphids
Check in your area for the best way to control them. A number of easy options are used to control soft body insects. We simply use a blast of the water hose along with beneficial insects such as ladybugs and lacewings. To reduce the population, remove overwintering eggs.
