Using Neem Oil and Dr. Bronners peppermint soap to kill the leaf footed nymph. After application of the soap and oil mixture, I spray plant down with water.
Thank you so much! This stuff really works! I used your amounts (2tbsp Peppermint Castile Soap & 3tbsp Neem Oil) I found they died faster if I covered them in a heavy spray. Your video saved my tomatoes!
If you wash off the neem oil on the leaves what good does it do? can you still eat the fruit? I found them this year on my mulberry tree. Berries just getting ripe/ 1st year the beady eyed suckers showed up.
They will destroy tomatoes, not just the leaves but also the tomato itself. I have made my own leaf footed bug killer spray, to take care of the young "red" bugs within 10 - 15 seconds. This mixture is not chemicals. I sprayed it on a green shield shaped stink bug and it died within 1-minute. Jeff
I lose this battle every year :( Now I grow my tomatoes on a screened patio. I'm trying to grow Luffa and birdhouse gourds this year and have killed 2. The war is beginning again GRRRRRR :(
Why bitch about it if you're not going to provide a solution that works? What's wrong with people is that these bugs come by the 1000s and will destroy everything.
just came home to find about 10 of these bugs!!!😕 going to try this mixture. I pray it works! will keep you posted. thanks for sharing!
This worked for me, thank you.
I use a water pistol with ice water. Drops them to the ground for easy footwork. : )

Just add a squirt of dish soap to water in a spray bottle. They will walk around about a minute and then die.

Thanks for sharing your spray
Why didn't you say what it is?
I believe the bigger insect you were about to kill is a beneficial one!
Sweetheart...spit it out!!!
Does this also work on the adults? Or just the nymphs?
It is hard to kill those pre historic looking adults with organic sprays. So if you can catch them crush them under your footware immediately
