What I did was just spray the bugs directly with soapy water. It kills them in a few seconds. After a few minutes I wash off the plant. Did this morning and night after w few days I have only seen 1 or 2.

Great idea. I realized I'm no Mr. Miyagi trying to pick them off.

Ugh! They love pomagranates too in dry, arid Las Vegas where I live. Just sprayed a bunch of them this afternoon with soapy water. After a few minutes, they ended up dead ... so, it does take some time. I believe that's because the soap interferes with their breathing and so it'll take a few minutes from them to suffocate death.

So far my tomato plants are still in the flowering stage. Good to have this info. Thankfully the house wrens have been helping with pest control, hopefully they'll stay on...

These have been awful! Every time I feel like I get rid of them, they are back at it! I bought BT and have tried injecting the squash plant, but I can't seem to stop them. What have you found that works?

So far the only problem I’ve had with tomatoes and cucumber plants is white flies. These boogers are hard to get rid of naturally with 90+ temps in SC.

I'm battling whiteflies and spider mites on my Cukes in GA. The long hot dry spell made the mites explode. The last 4 days we have swung to rain and high humidity so I see powdery mildew starting. Good luck !!

Love your videos!!! So i am still using neem oil here in Phx Az (9b) even with the heat. But i ONLY do it when the sun goes down. And once a week as needed. Great idea with sun flowers to detour them!!!! God know how they love 🌻

Thank you! Confirmation on the use of sunflowers. I learned the hard way last year when they destroyed my sunflower patch. It was quite discouraging.

Last year didn't have any issue with my tomatoes (zone 8) but they ruined my first attempt at corn. 😢 It was doing great up until these guys showed up.

Great info! We see the red nymph stage on our cucumbers but not on our sunflowers. We have never heard, until now, to not spray Neem oil when above 90 Fahrenheit.

I had a bunch of these things sucking on my Jalapeño peppers. Sprayed them with a mix of water and Dawn Dishwashing liquid and they were dead in 30 seconds.

I wish I had seen this video a month ago. I have a full on infestation of these and brown marmorated stink bugs. I tried the picking off method a few times, but there are just too many. I dusted my plants with some food grade diatomaceous earth. Fingers crossed that it helps!

I get thousands of them on my tomato plants and they absolutely do severe damage to the fruit. They poke holes everywhere and the fruits rot. And you can't pick them off because they rotate around the plant to hide. Plus, nothing I've sprayed on them kills them.

I've seen a couple of these bugs this year but not many yet. I have seen several dragonflies and such. Do you recommend just letting nature handle them until they become to much?
