- During his opening statement, U.S. Capitol Sergeant Aquilino Gonell recounted his traumatic experience defending the Capitol during the Jan. 6 riot. Gonell explained that the day has taken an emotional toll on him and said, "for most people, January 6 happened for a few hours, but for those of us who were in the thick of it, it has not ended."

Any insurrectionists who are receiving any kind of post military benefit such as a pension, GI Bill, VA benefits, ,any perks that come with the military ID, those should be completely revoked and they should be dishonorably discharged or even court marshaled retroactively.

these officers testimonies... My Father who received his commission in
1978 retiring his commission only this past year, and he had to leave
the room from the emotions that overwhelmed him. God bless the men and
women who tried their hardest to defend the Capitol Building, and
protecting our Representatives in Congress. This has been traumatic for
my family who have always been apart of the Republican party, and to see

The old Republican party has been dead since the Newt Gingrich takeover in the Contact on America in 1994, and began dying with the "religious" takeover during the Reagan years. Why any of the old time Republicans are still members of the party is beyond me. I would have thought a new party would have already been established.
Originally in the twentieth century the Republican Party was the party of business, and you wouldn't find many working class people in it. I remember liberal and conservative Republican in the fifties and sixties, and the same for Democrats, based on social and fiscal opinions, but none of this cult like lockstep behavior we have now.

Ignore the politics for a moment and just listen to the cops at the ground. I rarely side with american law-enforcers, but godamn I feel so bad for these. They did their duty, above and beyond, and all they get is spite.

One good thing that CAN come of this, is their right to vote could be taken away. Depending on the severity of the crime. I am sure some people did much more than others and the arrests have to be made specifically for that person. It takes a while and each person may not get the same punishment. But if charged with a felony they may never be able to legally vote again. Next time we do audits it will be to catch THEM fake voting.

Second of all, we can sit here all day and debate. The bottom line is that you don’t think what happened at the Capitol was bad. It was bad. I mean very bad. So bad that all the hypocrites that talk so much bull about allowing our cops to do their jobs and showing them respect, have turned their backs on this issue. Or worse they’re trying to devalue it. I won’t even ask you to picture your son or your father sitting there and tell his story and how would you feel if no one was as pained by what he’s saying as you. The truth is that as a human being you think he’s less than you. And you’d mow down the Capitol yourself to uphold your belief. Thankfully More than half the country disagrees. We all benefit in a positive way because of it. That’s what’s fair. One more thing to answer the original post. No one else had a problem with how he was reading. His job depends on learning and understanding, and THAT he did very well when he protected the Capitol
Get the FBI to release the body camera footage of all those officers. Explain why the FBI will not release the countless hours of footage? If being over run by people with no weapons is such an issue then why did a few of those officers, willingly open the gate? Was all this staged? Is it a political stunt? I don't know but I do know that to this date the FBI has not released any of the Officers body cameras and that is very suspicious, it gives the appearance of them trying to hide evidence.
