Under Trump many tariffs were also put in place causing an increased price in foreign goods. As for Trumps tax cuts, the benefits of that went to the top %5 of the highest income houses and corporations. It’s fair to say, that inflation has risen and even just a little bit of it was caused by these tax cuts. Now with that being said, under the Biden administration we’re definitely not better off but he did inherit an economy that was just starting to decline from what it formerly was and Trumps policies were finally taking effect. On top of that he had to deal with the pandemic/shut down which definitely affected the economy harshly, as well as external problems such as Russia’s invasion in Ukraine which caused more economic problems for the US as they were called to provide aid for Ukraine. Overall though, many of his policies focused heavily on new infrastructure and creating safety nets for people. He also focused greater on the lower/middle classes. This did in turn did create higher inflation and increases in taxes but recently that has gone down to more target levels. Wage growth has also seen steady growth under Biden as well. I was recalling something that I mentioned to my parents, and now I wonder if other schools did this. I'm part of the generation that had the school shooter drills. At first, the drills were just the normal lockdown procedure: get out of sight, turn off the lights, and wait for the police to arrive. But when they started becoming a yearly occurrence, I remember my school changing the rules. They told us NOT to stay in the classroom if we heard shots in our hallway, but to go out the window and run zig-zag horizontally as fast as we could. I remember knowing at that point that it was no longer a matter of "this could happen" but "when will this happen." It's heartbreaking that kids go through this.

It's actually a good decision by a careful judge. A lot of the consideration is that whatever the sentence is could create grounds for appeal. Not to mention the possible outcome of the election. The timing of this sentence is too important to dish out a sentence at this point. I have no doubt the judge will nail Dementia Don as soon as it is clear that Harris has won the election. Would I love to see Dementia Don sent to the slammer? Absolutely. But I have worked in the legal system and the decision makes sense. It WILL happen. Not fast enough for us, but within the legal system which is what is going to count historically.

I was recalling something that I mentioned to my parents, and now I wonder if other schools did this. I'm part of the generation that had the school shooter drills. At first, the drills were just the normal lockdown procedure: get out of sight, turn off the lights, and wait for the police to arrive. But when they started becoming a yearly occurrence, I remember my school changing the rules. They told us NOT to stay in the classroom if we heard shots in our hallway, but to go out the window and run zig-zag horizontally as fast as we could. I remember knowing at that point that it was no longer a matter of "this could happen" but "when will this happen." It's heartbreaking that kids go through this.

It's actually a good decision by a careful judge. A lot of the consideration is that whatever the sentence is could create grounds for appeal. Not to mention the possible outcome of the election. The timing of this sentence is too important to dish out a sentence at this point. I have no doubt the judge will nail Dementia Don as soon as it is clear that Harris has won the election.
Would I love to see Dementia Don sent to the slammer? Absolutely. But I have worked in the legal system and the decision makes sense. It WILL happen. Not fast enough for us, but within the legal system which is what is going to count historically.
