Hi Michael, greetings from Singapore. I've been subscribed for a while. It occurred to me that your OBS tutes are quite original, both in choice of topics and clear delivery. I never really thought about voice changers with OBS before. Kudos. Keep them rolling.
GVST makes some other nice, free plugins too. I use their noise gate all the time (along with Equalizer APO, which enables "real time" plugins before the mic sound even reaches the Windows audio driver), to block ambient room noise while recording. It's a huge advantage, as you show, that OBS can use VST plugins.

I have been using them in my vocal recording but did not know some of them could be used in OBS. Great advice, thank you! I am having a problem with adding the lua files to the OBS folder. I can't seem to do that. For some reason my computer won't let me do it. EDIT: I had to give permission, they added just fine.
Excellent video. There is a steep learning curve, at least for me. It's free, the whole setup is free. Having said that it's way beyond useful and something I plan to use. Thanks.

amazing video! is there a way for example to hear the low voice only and not my voice through my blue yeti mic? If i go to advanced properties i can turn audio monitoring on so i can hear the low voice filter but i also hear my own voice. If theres a way to add a hotkey that triggers monitoring a filter or any other filter without hearing my own original voice then that would really help me get in tune when playing a character. I know what you mean krow, I spent hrs today trying to figure that one out. As far as I can tell there is no way. Also, The effects in obs will only work in stream or recording. You must use something like voicemod and set the keybinds (hotkeys) there, and set voicemod as your mic in obs and in your games mic settings. Then you can toggle the effects on/off so the stream/recording and players in-game can hear it. I spent hours setting up hotkeys and vst effects in obs using only obs, just to find out players in game won't hear it, and I can't hear my effects working live. Then spent hours more after learning about voicemod setting it up with my interface and voicemeeter. I have yet to test the voicemod effects in game with players as it got too late tonight. Looking forward to tomorrow after work to test it out more. Let me know if you found any solutions of your own. 🍻

Could these plugins be used in audio recording software for someone wanting to record their dialogue for animated shorts as different character voices and not just OBS or is this ONLY for online video streaming???
In OBS you're going to make use of the Monitor function. Step 1) Install Virtual Audio Cable Step 2) In OBS Goto Settings > Audio > Advanced > Monitoring Device > Select the Virtual Audio Cable and check the box to "Disable Windows Audio Ducking" and Click OK to leave Settings Step 3) Goto the Audio Mixer>Advanced Audio Properties> Under Audio Monitoring turn on Monitor Audio and Output for the Microphone Line Input with Voice Changer Effects Added. Step 4) Depends on the game, if the game allows you to manually select the audio input source then you want to choose the Virtual Audio Cable as the source for the Mic, if not then you will need to go to the windows sounds device panel and set the Virtual Audio Cable as the default input source before launching your game/voice chat client
