Wow! This is some display of old school class! What a humble guy Dave Vanian is! 🖤 His attitude towards the fan was amazing. Also, how is he 66? Seriously, he looks, moves and sings as if he's decades younger. You guys are amazing!
I was so worried that kid was going to get a beat down but then security finally got a talking to and he had a great experience he'll never forget. It was great to see live!
It really does! Not only seeing so much appreciation for an iconic band but so much enthusiasm. I wasn't there, but seeing that makes me feel a lot better.
I was there... That poor sod was only having a good time. Good on Dave. As the Captain said..."Its not Munford & Sons" . Its rock n roll and the Damned were magnificent on Saturday night.
Hate to be the party pooper, but at the end of the day, this type of behaviour shouldn’t be tolerated, it’s unsettling for the band & could give license to a troubled individual carrying out atrocities. Shouldn’t be promoted or encouraged!

This was my first punk concert that I have been to I hope to see more concerts in the future. I went to see them with my dad. He is 52 and I am 16. He likes the same music as me and has seen them and other bands many times. That is how I found out about a lot of the bands I like. I enjoyed this concert very much. I was near the back. :)
Been a lifelong damned fan and my kids first gigs when they were 16 was the damned 😁 .... I think you will find that you like the same music as your dad !!! And I'm so glad you do ..
The security team are employed to do a job, which they executed brilliantly in dealing with a random stage invader who was moving at an erratic pace, the show must go on and Vanian held it together exceptionally never taking his eyes of the commotion, all in all the whole situation was handled really well, top security boys, top reaction by The Damned & it turned out to be a top night for the random stage invader 👌😍 ❤
he shoulda stage dived.. these aint the old days anymore. especially with people doing things like trying to knive comedians on stage because their feelings are hurt. people are morons and we just cant have fun anymore
get rid of those security guys... let the kid dance! he got some great classic moves! and the band was on point! good to see they take care of their fans!
This kid has something to tell His Kids now when he is a Punkrock Dad one Day.Thats so great, the Night Dave Vanian saved his life.Long live The Damned!
I saw the late 80s reunion tour with all the different lin-ups together - which was the last time the original 4 played together before this !! So glad they got over it all before any of them passed away 🙏❤️
It was a great night - for four fellas pushing 70, they made one raucous sound! God (or your chosen deity) bless the Damned. Thanks for posting this Sonic Document. 👍
I don't know about 'improved'' but certainly 'expanded their abilities', 'the Black album' , 'Machine Gun Ettiquete' & their debut - 3 different line ups ,3 great lps....
@@maverickpussycat3409 He's very youthful, good to see. Glad Dave Vanian stepped in, your Dad was only enjoying himself like the old days. You can see the crowd, and the comments here, were on his side.
Proves that you cant buy class and respect..... Dave is the real deal here, hats off to him. The thugs could have killed him, the manner they were both leaning on him...shame on them! in a way, it reminds me of a Stranglers gig at the Birmingham Odeon around 83/84 time. A few got up on stage and had their moment. A dude with a big Mohican was with them and had his little bit of pushing and shoving from the bouncers, then he suddenly disapeared..... Just around the encore time, He popped his head out from under the big white sheet covering the drum podium ....he had been under there for most of the gig, then he jumped out and had a bop around the stage again..... Fantastic!
Yeah, that was completely unecessary! Good to see The Captain and The Count remembering how they were when they were that age. It's a punk concert -- not a Young Conservatives debate! :0)
bro if you get up there to skank you need to get off a stage dive.Saw the damned my whole life, seems like every 5 years over the past 20. Phantasmagoria days were sweet. saw them a few years back in LA and im too old for the pit.. but they ripped "Video nasty" and in I went. within 2 seconds I lost my shoe and half my shirt was gone. I never even contributed to the skankin, I was just absorbed by a tornado of sweaty people.. just like the old days ha ha.. loved you guys on the young ones.
Rats drumming is garbage. BJ looks like they wheeled him out and propped him up. Good on the good Captain and Vanian for still rocking like men half their age and carrying that performance.
I mean...dude could have been nutso and been hiding a weapon. I don't think you wanna end up like John Lennon just because you thought it was just a big fan...I mean once it was clear he wasn't a threat...sure but it's always better safe than sorry when you have a stranger jump up on stage
@@stephd5047 read my reply. They did their job but too much even after found out he no threat. Still held him down until Dave stepped in. I’ve seen a lot of security at gigs do a good job but some go too far. Like this.

Love Dave ! and we welcome the band back in March to Australia again ,very spoilt .
this very song introduced me to punk rock, this was around 1980 listening to the John Peel show.

What a lovely bloke
Well done Dave great band
What a show! I’m in the 2nd row in front of Brian. ❤❤❤❤
Excellent
To those who think punk has died look at this it’s still alive and well
was a great show, those of you going to Manchester/Glasgow / Birmingham get ready for a great show
Brill simply brill
Brilliant
Talk about 'Recreating 1977' , that kid on stage looked like Dee Generate at 'the Roxy' or 'Marquee club'...
Gotta love these guys!
I'll be Damned forever...
Nice guys. The audience and the band were always part of the same experience.
cant beleive i saw these in 1980. great gig!

The Damned improved tenfold when James left

He played bass on the first two albums! Only took over guitar when Brian James left.

Come back to Florida!!

Nostalgia and great to see the original line up but I prefer Captain on guitar now if I’m honest, but great to see the originals again for a bit
Is Dave looking more like Nicholas Cage or is Nicholas Cage looking more like Dave in their older years?
I may just have brainrot
Good to see Dave's cousin Ruprecht on stage 👹
Bravissimo Dave Vanian.. affanculo la security
Fuckin rockstars!
It looks like they killed the poor sod!
Original line up???
cool than after Vanian become friendly?
How did Evil ed get onto the stage. Lol
Imagine the inquest. How did he die? Of positional asphyxia at a Damned concert now that's punk....
