It’s a good thing I watched this video because I’m going to San Diego for my birthday which is in one week and all the beaches there look awesome and beautiful
Went to P.B. in 2017... Going to Coronado (Hotel Del) in a few weeks.. I was stationed in So. Cal. when I was in the Marine Corps. Now live on East Coast. San Diego is definitely a favorite! Great job on the beaches of San Diego.. Maybe next time you'll visit Black's Beach.. (Lol)..
I grew up in San Diego in the Clairemont area, which is only 20 minutes from Pacific Beach. As a teenager P.B. was where i spent every summer with my friends.
I live in Az and I am only 6 hour drive from San Diego can’t wait to take a weekend and check out some of those beaches 😊 and I am loving the fire pit idea what do u suggest bringing for the day at the beach??
Sunscreen, water, towel & water toys if u plan to swim, beach chairs for sitting. If u plan to do the pre-installed fire pits at MB, bring a cord of wood & s’mores fixings. In Coronado they provide everything (but call and reserve ahead of time). Parking can be rough so scope those out ahead of time! Have fun 😎
I love San Diego, the beaches are way better than in the SF Bay area its usually cloudy and the waters cold. SD warmer its still cool but warm enough to swim in.
Agreed for swimming! Plus they don't have the dangerous undercurrents and unpredictable tides that we have up here. But I do enjoy them for their rugged wildness and the hiking (from the bluffs) and occasional tide pooling are great.
@@ZeeneInRealLife water so clear in mission bay its not so cold as i swim i see the fish swim below me and no scary dangerous waves like half moon bay or Morro bay.
when i think of west coast beaches i think of like pismo or carmel and it’s always overcast/cold over there. i love the beach but i want to swim in the sunnnn
For me when I was young could be the P.B. or it was M.Beach "!"..and being by there or on the sand or by the small walls etc..or one bay I went to that it was wide enough to see the land across there on the other side ....and if you could try to swim across it or better when your family or the people then is being or gathering to have their lunch or dinner there or to talk to someone on the sand or close by the shore ! It's like a whole sea family and co. package or package of enchiladas !
A lot of people love Black's Beach but it's clothing optional so maybe not your cup of tea. People also love Torrey Pines State Beach which is further up north. Hope that helps!
I remember someone had lay a set of hot dogs and it was different and of how the hot dogs were cook"or to be cook" or the size and while having a nice time or somebody else had the same size hot dogs !..😞
Thanks for the informative video , Is there public washrooms in every beach? which one do you recommend for couple with a baby travelling from out of the US
Hello! As these are large public beaches yes there are public washrooms at each. All of these beaches work for young kids -- it just depends on what type of vacation you are looking for ☺️. If I'm looking at the pros; Coronado is a great quiet beach for some relaxation and water play and the hotel has kid-friendly dining options. La Jolla offers more water activities (like snorkeling) if you/your spouse want to trade off on who gets to go in the water and nearby La Jolla Village is a nice stroll when you get tired of the beach. Mission Beach has the long boardwalk for walking/biking and lots of shops/restaurants and an amusement park to keep you occupied all day. The beach is great but usually packed. Hope that helps!
Hey Zeene, my name is Nick. My family and I are going to be staying in Palm Springs next week and want to come over to the ocean. We're just looking for a family friendly beach. And your video sort of depicts that . I was hoping that we could talk maybe and you could tell me the lay of the land, parking, things of that nature. Is there any way you and I can talk?
Hi Nick, sorry about the late reply! Hope it's not too late. Feel free to reach out on Instagram (zeeneinreallife) and DM me. We can figure out how to connect.
Hey there, sorry for the very long delay in response - I was out on vacation last week with very spotty internet. I don't believe Mission Beach has permanent fire pits. There are services that will rent out portable ones that I know of. Sorry!
I live here, and it's not fair to say SD has spectacular beaches. Compared to some of the Mexican beaches , this is nothing. Water is too cold, and people throw stuff
Thanks for your feedback! I haven't hit the beaches of Mexico but have heard they are amazing. For California, I do love the San Diego beaches, blemishes and all...
Depends on when you go :) In the summer, temperatures around high sixties but in the winter it can get as cold as low 60s. That's when you put the wetsuit on!
Hmm, I guess it's all in your perspective. In the summer time it's not cold at all (for the ocean). But some surfers still wear a wet suit in as they're submerged for hours at a time. It's certainly colder than in Hawaii or the Caribbean.
I don't know of any specific hours for this beach and the boardwalk has shops that are open fairly late. Only thing to watch for are the parking lots which do have limited hours.
You shouldn’t complain about military personnel flying above , they keep u safe and they do lots of seal training there.. it’s beautiful but the military plays a big part of the island .
My rating -One star Beaches of SD have cheap trash cans, like third world country. Not much showers so sand is carried every ware - sidewalks, stores and your car. Not much restrooms and ones that there are very disgusting. Many boardwalks are very old and in very poor condition. City cry that there no money to do anything = I guess they do not charge enough tourist tax. Highways has much better landscaping than sea side. No trolley to any of the beach. Not enough parings. Not much food stands. Hundreds of rules.

Does Mission Beach have fire pits or grills for a cookout?

🤣
Do you know the water temperature ? it looks cold...lol

You DO NOT need a fishing license to fish on piers in San Diego just letting u know
Now I really miss home
I think a visit is in order!
Is it true the water is cold?
Hmm, I guess it's all in your perspective. In the summer time it's not cold at all (for the ocean). But some surfers still wear a wet suit in as they're submerged for hours at a time. It's certainly colder than in Hawaii or the Caribbean.
