You didn't mention the elephant in the room: HARDWARE. That is what it is all about, and either i'm in an infinitesimal minority here, or am speaking the truth, but I picked up an SF title for the first time because I didn't need a buy a 6 face-button layout controller specifically for it. Yes, it's a ramp etc. etc. but not a ramp to Classic controls, Modern isn't a bridge to Classic. It's a bridge into SF. Period. We have manual inputs on Modern that I use often to access the varying strengths/properties of certain Specials. It's not the motion inputs that are a problem. I'm doing QCB and HCB motions just fine. And still choosing not to go on Classic simply because my console controller is not designed in a way that's intuitive for it. Using the right-side shoulder buttons for the heavy punch and heavy kick is awkward, it's not ergonomic. It will hurt the wrists to switch from regular holding of the controller to claw and back. Yes, MenaRD, Chakotay, so many pro players use console controllers with Classic- but that's an unfair comparison to make. Most use a 6 face button layout controller that neatly lines up the 3 degrees of punches and kicks. What I do not understand however, is how certain Modern players who have gone pro like that Chun-Li one or that Ed player, actually use the same hardware that the Classic players are using! What's the point then! You have the equipment that makes it suitable for your hands and yet they are picking Modern perhaps to be a showboat about it and build their social brand online around the cult of playing on Modern. But that's just my cynical theory on that. Anyways. You lay off of Modern(!) will ya? I don't wanna hear no pros and cons from you, UNLESS, you dedicate a week's or month's worth of your content creation around streaming Modern A.K.I. gameplay in Ranked, using a console controller like DualShock. Then I could sit through a video and support that content. Restrict yourself to playing on Modern first and notice how it affects your results in Ranked on A.K.I.'s MR. Get a feel of playing on controller. Once again, in my not-so-humble opinion, Modern v. Classic picking has nothing to do with the Battle System, and everything to do with the controller hardware you've got.
for all you peeps who want to beat broski online. when he starts using perfect parry and poison puddle in your face he's a bot and play him as such. proof? watch the first 2 matches and he's sweating bullets and cant perfect parry, drops drive rush combo's and never uses poison puddle cause he's too scared. he fight's rainpro and beyond, he's doing everything right while looking like he's enjoying some netflix and chill. I'm sorry all you online peeps that lost to this bot. I do have to give broski props, he knows when to turn off the bot to keep it from being too sus
