I opened my shop in September 2023. No clue what I was doing. Made a bunch of awful designs with terrible SEO. Scrapped that. Tried out tote bags. Scrapped that after two weeks LOL. Was going to just call it quits on POD and focus on my digital shop. Decided to give POD one more go.
Shawna, you and a handful of other amazing RUclipsrs and Facebook groups have changed the game for me.
I revamped yet again in December. Spent the whole month listing listing listing. SEO was great. In January I made 8 sales. February 17 sales. Today is March 7 and I’m at 8 sales! 4 I got today! I’ve never had 4 in a day. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us. I can see that this is really possible!

Opened my shop few years ago, have never committed until couple weeks ago. It's 15 listings for me at the moment, but I'm looking for ways to design more, from 5 every week to 5 every day. Also, I had a thought. Why don’t all of you open a mockup shop together? I can see how the cultural/gender differences in the friend group can bring a differentiation to having a powerful mockup shop. I think having mockups with different skin tones, sizes, genders can help anyone in POD get more sales.

Started in October, only 12 sales by January 1st (thought I'd slay during q4 but I didn't... In fact some of the things I posted them are just now getting favorites and purchases) now 44 sales with a goal of 50 by end of March. Oh and I have about 150 listings

I always feel like I have pretty good designs, I am doing sweatshirts, in one niche, doing my research, yet I made one sale in Jan and on in Feb, I don’t know what I might be doing wrong 😢😭 I honestly sometimes I just want to give up. I see your videos and gain my confidence but deep inside like one of you mentioned in a previous video not having any sales is hurting me deep inside 😢
We are so rooting for you! I know it is just so hard to grind away when the sales are not coming! The weak link for most people is either not getting the market research down good enough or just not being consistent enough with listing and/or not having enough listings (thereby not taking enough swings at bat to find traction.) We are so in your corner and we just know you can get this figured out!

Sometimes it can be a challenge to keep moving forward and not give up, but keep at it. I'm seeing some sales in my shop...not as many as I want, but that's ok. I know I'm being consistent now and it WILL happen. I'm definitely rooting for you and sending positive vibes your way
I can so relate to this and it can be hard when we feel like this. I know it is discouraging at times but please keep at it, if you truly add all these tips that Shawna has given now and before I promise it can help. I think everyone's journey is so different and even though it can be hard right now it can be sooooooo rewarding down the line. And you should already be so proud of how much you have done, even if it isn't exactly what you want to see in results. Small gains are just as important and rewarding! Started in late Sept 2023 but my first couple of months the designs were so bad as I was learning. I have 330 listings but have allowed 105 to expire either because the designs were horrible OR because they are ornaments. I have 72 sales, 28 reviews, about 100 favs. Having said this, I have had only 5 sales this year (2024) and I'm only getting about 6 to 8 visits a day now! Made the mistake of flipping over to ornaments in Oct and so of course, I'm paying the price now. NOW I'm following Shawna's Niche Calendar! It's SO worth the price of admission!
I DO have a question...should I allow ornaments to expire til July or keep them going?

If the ornament has already sold before I like to leave it active. If it hasn't and you want to let them expire till July I think you would be alright doing that. I hope this helps!

There’s another RUclipsr that says to only list one item a day. Says listing multiple messes up your Etsy algorithm. What’s your thoughts on that????
Hey there! Thanks for the question! I usually list in batches... Today I listed ten designs. I have a few designs ready to go and will probably do 3 or 4 tomorrow. I have always ran my listing schedule this way and have listed up to 20 to 25 designs on some days where I really went hard at it. Hope this helps!
Thank you for sharing your story with us. I have a question, should I just focus on evergreen products in my niche and add a few holiday listings? I feel like I am chasing holiday after holiday and I am not bringing any sales 😢 thanks
Hey there! My rule of thumb is about 25 to 30 percent of my time is spent on holiday related things coming up and the other 70 to 75 percent is spent more on evergreen types of niches. I hope this helps!

Hey there! If it is available with the Print Provider you chose you will see it at the bottom of the screen. Just lick on that tab and then you will be able to drop it in on the sleeve. If it isn't there try Swiftpod! They have it available. Hope this helps!
