I haven't been honest, either, because I felt I've let down the Keto family here. I unsubbed because I was ashamed.
I was doing great on Keto, but I'm sorry, I am only human. I missed my orange juice. I missed my mango. There are a lot of carbs I missed.
So after 3 months of losing 70 pounds, I went off Keto. I gained a lot of weight so quickly. Then I got so depressed, I felt like I was the only one.
But, with the world wide bug, and restricted accessibility to foods and the cost, I saved myself from total destruction.
I started combining carbs a little with good foods, just not like a pig. I managed to still lose some weight. So, in total, after gaining a lot back, and now starting eating normal, I have gone to the point that I am only 7 pounds heavier than the lowest I was in Keto.
I no longer am worried about Ketosis and all that figuring, which was taking up so much of my day, I couldn't focus on anything I loved to do anymore.
I just turned 73, my blood counts are terrific. I take a lot of supplements, and my collagen and greens powder drink. I feel good, and I am SUBBED AGAIN, SAHIL! I now love me for me, and I ain't getting any younger!
God bless those on Keto...I still love each and everyone of you! 🥀💜🥀💜🥀💜🥀💜🥀💜🥀💜

Taking up too much time??? I'm SO confused, because doing keto has given me SO MUCH more time AND energy. There's no one diet for all people, we have different ancestry and genetics and therefore different dietary needs, but as far as i can tell cutting down on carbs, especially processed ones and sugars, is never a bad thing. I hope you've found something that really works for you ✌️😉✌️

I don't care if you do keto or not. Your videos are excellent for many of us who do. I like that your focus is not just dessert, but lots of normal food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I like that you have many recipes that are simple and don't require a zillion ingredients. I like that a normally supplied keto cupboard will usually have the ingredients required for your recipes and you don't expect me to constantly buy things that are outrageously expensive. I like that you make your recipes flexible--and give alternatives for ingredients I may not like. I like that you have a sensible keto tone rather than a keto police tone. All, that, and you make an interesting video as well. (But enough jibber jabber, LOL.) Keep up the good work!

When I first learned about Keto, I understood that keto was to be used to help me attain my goal weight. Once attained, I was told it was ok to begin adding carbs back into my diet. Once I began gaining weight again, I was to cut back on the carbs until I found a healthy balance that allowed me to maintain my goal weight. THAT, I was told, is how keto is to be done. I applaud you and your honesty and wish I had found your recipes years ago! I have been yo-yo-ing on keto and intermittent fasting for years, trying to get back into the ketosis I had attained before visiting Japan - where EVERYTHING is carbs! I’m going to give your three ingredient meal plans a try. Thank you for sharing!

I think keto plus fasting can help a person fix their health problems but once that's done they eat normal breads and rice EXCEPT make sure those foods are organic and keep sugar intake as low as you can daily. Plus exercise and it should be ok. For diabetic obese people they need keto for a while.

I was doing keto for 1 1/2 years- went off this last February (actually 32 days) - went back on keto (3 days ago) cause all of my swelling and pain came back, I gained 14 lbs. and was incredibly bloated. However I am still glad I stopped for a bit because I was getting discouraged by getting myself into a food rut (I don't enjoy cooking at all) and having self pity parties cause my husband had something sweet and I couldn't. Now after feeling yucky, fat, lazy, and bloated I am ready to go another round with keto.

I understand and agree that Keto isn't for everyone and is not "the only" way to eat. I personally only view rice, bread, and pasta as a vehicle for what I really want to eat so I don't feel deprived of those starches. I do enjoy the taste of potatoes, but not enough to go off Keto to eat them. I will occasionally cheat to have potatoes but I am in control and don't binge so it's not a problem for me. Good luck with your journey!

i have moved on from keto, but when i started, you are a work of art. I thank you for struggling with me on keto. It works, definitely. But as with you, I have found that I can eat burger and pizza while still losing weight just by working on eating habit.
i still watch your keto recipe. because in truth, i do enjoy eating carnivorous food and veggies. ive lost that attachment to carbs so i dont feel like i have to eat it all the time. difference being, now, if i want to eat burger, bread, or rice, i dont feel guilty and counting carbs as i go.
i love this channel. it reminds me of my younger days. and i feel blessed that you channel existed. your recipe is the foundation of my eating habit today. and now i feel healthy and great. so thank you.

I came for the keto but remained for the jibber jabber;)
I'll subscribe to your other channel just to see what it's about. I live food and lately have been watching tons of pasta shows on RUclips even though I don't eat pasta anymore. However, I have made it a couple of times for my relatives. They were floored and it's a nice way to treat them to something nice without going to a restaurant. I'm one of those that can make a food that I've never made before better than I ever had in a restaurant.
I think you doing what you care about, what brings you value, including monetary, while being as authentically precious as you are is what matters most. That's what I've learned from you and your video today. I appreciate you sharing your wisdom because I needed it especially too. Times are tough buy thank God, the cooking doesn't suck.
Cheers, from Florida but my folks are from India too. Love the accent even as your English is wonderful and colorful.

I admire your honesty. For me, keto will probably be a lifestyle. I'm 58 and nothing else worked to lose weight. I could watch my calories and go to the gym every day and see zero results. Since starting keto in June of 2020, I have lost 37 pounds and five pant sizes. I know--for me--that going back on carbs will gain all my weight back. I want to get to the weight I want (about ten more pounds) and then go to maybe a "cheat day" once or twice a month, where I could have a burger and fries or maybe some pizza. I hope you continue your recipes because I have tried many of them and have loved them all. Your chicken nuggets (made them tonight!) are the bomb!

My diet became the worst it has ever been and I was also heavily depressed. A few months I decided to go low carb instead so I will have a small amount of carbs in my diet. This has worked for me as I don’t feel deprived. I have definitely become more mindful of what I am eating. And I. 3 months have dropped a size. Slow and steady. Thank you so much for this video.

My plan is to give my body a rest and a reset. Loose the bulk of this blubber. Then once I'm at my goal, switch over to a meditarinian diet. I plan to keep the intermittent fasting, and maybe do keto once or twice a week. I have horrible horrible eating habits. Damn straight I eat a banana about 2x a week. Why? I need the potassium. I just do and I'm not sure why but my bod says to eat a banana. I believe that the banana gives me the potassium hit I need. Everyone is different, everyone knows what their body needs. No guilt, no shame. And I so appreciate the naan recipe!!! Thanks for sharing your bangin' kitchen!

I was on keto for half a year and I was miserable. I pleateued, although keto did help me lose the first 15lbs, it did help me on managing my food portion and urges.
I enjoy potatoes, brown rice, low carb bread tortillas within moderation. I do miss fruits and ever since going off keto, I’ve had much more success, and feel happier overall.

For the record, Keto is my diet, not my religion. I'm perfectly happy gleaning your knowledge whether you are actually on the diet or not. I do appreciate the honesty though. Personally Keto has been very helpful to me, not so much in weight loss (I have lost some, but issues with gym closures don't help any), but my chronic heartburn has completely disappeared. That is enough to keep ME going, but I agree that there is no "one size fits all" diet and people should do what works best for them.

Im on week 3 of keto but today I broke down and had a chunk of a French baguette to dip into olive oil. I couldn't resist. What's crappy is that I felt guilty about it afterwards... even now as I type this 6 hours later I feel bad. And I HATE this feeling! I mean really? I feel guilty for eating a 3 inch pice of a baguette!? My first piece of bread in 3 weeks? 🙄
But I really want to lose 10lbs and I know keto will definitely help me lose these pounds that I continuously lose and gain. Once I lose it, (hopegully) I will switch to low carb. Im Hispanic so you better believe I miss my flour tortillas, Mexican rice and pinto beans! Thanks for your honesty and hard work!

I found keto when I was cutting out grains, due to inflammation all over my body. I did not intend to lose all the weight that fell off and have since put on a bit more fat, without gaining weight! My osteo arthritis is much reduced, and I've lost my tummy fat, that's the main source of happiness for me. I'm probably more Mediterranean than keto now, but i do keep up the fats as I've always eaten fats for preference. Bread always gave me severe gastric discomfort, except the expensive french breads, so I treat myself every wee while, but don'e miss bread on a daily basis. I've always exercised, so the gain in belly fat really made me unhappy.
My family enjoy my keto based meals, though they eat carbs when I'm not looking. They have taken on board the message about sugar and have cut it out of their lives. That's a major plus for me. Thanks for all you do and I love your recipes.

I have similar feelings to you. Any "diet" triggers something in me that instantly starts planning to cheat or binge once it's "over". I still believe low carb eating is a MUCH more healthy way to eat but letting myself have some vegemite toast once a week helps me stay low carb for the other 6 days of the week, then that's the best way to eat for me. As many others have said, your recipes are kickarse. I have no issues with the way you personally choose to eat, and it's hard to believe any of your subscribers would.

I've only been doing keto for about 5 months, so I haven't gotten tired of it. I'm also really flexible when it comes to my keto food choices for sustainability. Clean keto just isn't my cup of tea, which is why I feel I've lasted this long in comparison to my first Keto venture. Which was 2 months, and just wanted to quit.
Leaving or staying Keto is a personal choice you have the right to make. Thanks for all you've done for us.
