I've never owned a 360...yet I have about 12 controllers sitting around! I like using them on PC, though. I did come across the Halo edition one with a dragon on it, but sold it. The silver version I found is one I am definitely keeping. I didn't know what was going on with the d-pad, so thank you for the info!
Nice video! For you and everyone watching, the gold controller you showed is the gold chrome series controller, not the C-3PO controller. They’re subtly different, but the C-3PO controller has a design on the bottom portion that mimics electrical wires. You can actually see this in the short advertisement clip shown in the video for the R2-D2 console. Hope that helps!
I like how these are all first party controllers. I used to have red and blue wired Rock Candy branded third party ones, which we used when we did four player co-op on my brother's 360 for games like Castle Crashers and Diablo III. The Gold Chrome was available separately and not marketed as being a C3P0 controller when bought separately, just as a CHROME SERIES controller. I know this because I bought one brand new.
The C-3PO controller has a picture of wires on the plastic nearest you which is different from the chrome gold controller. I know cause I have the R2-D2 Xbox 💙
I own the real orange Live Turns 5 controller. Only about 30 were customized for xbox influencers. Someone on ebay faked them for years so people think they own the real ones. But there are differences. I have the provenance.
I guess I have a rare variant, I have the blue chrome with the transforming d-pad but it has the bumped sticks, not the tread. I modded it years ago with an Evil controllers backplate which gives it an internal rechargeable battery.
My 360 pride and joy is my Hori Dead or Alive 4 Arcade stick. Hey Pac, you should check out the newest xbox controller, they finally got the D-pad great imo.
Cool. I love and think the Xbox controllers have the nicest design on them. Their controller is very well done with fps games. My favorite is the Titan Fall Xbox one controller. I bought it for $30 used. I think this one has climb up in value.

@@Pacmancase Sorry I should have been more clear. By dyeing I meant things like sticks breaking / drifting, Bumper and trigger buttons stop functioning. One of these days I'll have to get some proper tools and see if I can't fix them myself since none of the repair shops around me will do controllers.

There is a gold chrome that's not a c3po one. The bottom does not have the c3po wire look.

All my controllers keep dyeing lately. I don't know why as I don't play on my 360 that much, only a couple times a year if that.
Could be corrosion on the battery's or the contacts. Easy clean.
