Great hotel and love what they have done to preserve and improve the hotel as it was almost demolished in the 1980s. The 10 Spa is outstanding.
Could of been better without your soundcloud track plugged over this documentary but overall cool story!

While I love the beauty of it, besides taking great pics, this Hotel offers little....um....actually nothing. I just stayed there this past weekend as a present from my daughter. They include nothing in the rental except 2 espresso (But not water for the machine), you have to pay $6.00 for water. I was stunned the next morning when there was no free breakfast, no free Coffee, not even complimentary water and it was $300.00 per night PLUS $19 for parking. Yes, Parking....even thats not included!! Really??? $300 a night and you cant offer COFFEE in the morning and a free space for my car?? Generally, when my husband and I stay at a Hotel, we always have a Coffee Pot w/coffee, bottled water, and Microwave, sometimes even a Fridge and always a parking space. Fort Garry Hotel, Nada. Just a bed, lounge chair and TV. No Amenities whatsoever! As for the aforementioned pics. When we asked what areas of the hotel would make the best photographs, we were told, they 'discourage" wandering the hotel, as it might disturb other guests. So we could only photograph the lobby. Never Again!!! Dont do it!! Take your $300 and stay at a Super 8 or Best Western for 2 0r 3 days and drive to FGH for a few min if you need lobby pics.
Christmas the house I live in is older then this hotel a Winnipeg heritage house built in 1902. Lol 😆
I live so close that we go to Winnipeg just to go to costco or IKEA. I went to a hotel by sky zone and it smelled really bad and was filled with dead lady bugs
I lived it when I lived in peguis mb back in my teen years in 01. I got to know wpg and fell in love with that city

This is where my older foster brother had his wedding party! It was fun, me and my cousins went ghost hunting while everyone was just partying. Fort Garry also has an army cadet corp and my schoolfriends are in it
