I lost brain cells listening to the guy on the phone
right, 😭😭😆😂😅🤣💀💀 and when Dave kept asking him his age. 😭😭💀💀
TJ Lozano I really hope he doesn’t smoke away the $2.8m.
@@nme.00104 😂😂 He had to say it like 5 times
wth i commented the same thing LOL
@@ew2645 I wouldnt be surprised lol
Just listening to him I know that money is a goner.

It'll be gone in no time, unfortunately.
The guy sounds like an idiot, but at the same point in time he called Dave. Dave's advice is the best for a person like him
I wish the grandpa had put that money in a trust for him with someone that is smart with money.
After he actually sobers up, he's going to realize that it was only $28 not $2.8 million
I rolled a fell out 🛏️ with your comment hahahaha 😭🤣🤣
😂🤣
Tf is so funny 🤣
LOL!!
Good one
Is this guy feeling alright? "What's your degree in?" "Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh"
Haha
how old are you? can you hear me? was like stop, 😭😭🤣😅😂😆💀💀

His degree is in UHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I GET UHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH 2.8 mill for UHHHHHHHHHHHHH great time for him to get this money wish I had that

I recently inherited almost $500k. I REALLY need to make this money work for me, and not just disappear over time. All roads have pointed to the equity market of some sort which is a good idea buh where else should I put money besides the equity/stock market?
Speaking with an advisor helped me stay afloat in the market and grow my portfolio to about 65% since January 2022, This helped me stay afloat and improve my portfolio of $450k in months. They have strategies that are specifically suited to your long-term objectives and financial aspirations.
My partner’s been considering going the same route, could you share more info please on the advisor that guides you
I started out with a financial advisor called *Sharon Louise Count* Her honest approach gives me complete ownership and control of my positions, and her rates are incredibly affordable given my ROI. you should check her out.
This reference seems valid.. Just looked up her full name on my browser and found her webpage without sweat, over 10 years of experience is certainly striking! very much appreciate this
Do something with it that will help those around you. But don't fall for bs or take shyt from anybody

A degree in "PC repairs"? Um, sure.
Same here!!! First thought

Dave, you provided such wise and informative information to this young who inherited 2.8 mil. God Bless you for your advise and encouragement. I am constantly listening and learning from you everyday.
Kiss the ground. You just won the lottery, don't squander it. Dave always gives solid advice, will he follow it, is to be seen.

@Brandon Martin do what warren Buffett does he is holding cash.
Chris Vincelli - Personal Development & Investing or much less, depends doesn’t it?
@@jbeav3902 horrible advice. Buffett can't get a good return anymore since it takes huge deals to make a difference to him. Someone with 2.8 million has lots of choices.
Or much less
Or lose 80% after the nasdaq crashes like it did in 2000.
The slowness in his response is torture. Good for him though on this great opportunity for an amazing life ahead! My Grandparents could have left a similar amount had they known how to invest. Instead hardly any was left after Grandma's long term care to the age of 101
Poor kid is probably shy and confused
That's wonderful that your family got to spend so much time with her.
I know my grandparents don’t have anything to leave. I hope they live to be 101. I’ll take that over money.
Why do people like this end up with so much money? lol...
Hahahahaha
Because someone before him decided to live like no one else and change their family tree! Just because the tree has been changed doesn't mean there are no monkeys in it!
A year from now "I'm broke and in debt what should I do"
I know right...
A Nigerian princess will come for him soon, just wait til next year 😂
Very happy for him. Hope he spends\invests wisely. Nice to hear good news in these troubled times.
God Bless Dave Ramsey
Good for him to call Dave and not just immediately squander it. He got solid advice on who to find to help teach him about money. Lots of people forget there are taxes due, don't make a plan of investment and don't take the time to research before investing. I like that Dave said not to invest in anything he does not understand. I wish Tony the best with his inheritance. May it be a blessing to him.
I ❤️ it Dave!! CEO. Be your own Boss and multiply those Millions!
Congrats to him! That’s so awesome! Hard to listen to him at first not gonna lie cause he takes awhile BUT wow! That’s so awesome for him!
Mamalo
Sounds like the caller is making this up as he goes 🙄
I think the guy was hesitant to give too many personal details which is why he spoke carefully and vaguely.
To be honest my first call would be to a moving company to get TF out of California ...I am a CFP and financial advisor and I would still hire an estate planning attorney and CPA so Dave is right on there
God bless Tony ! And keep God in your heart ❤️ and give him room in your life too keep blessing you. Stay strong 💪 you have a great grandpa watching over you !
Now that was some great advice from Dave!
Guy: My great grandfather passed away unfortunately.
Dav ramsey: WOW.
Wow. Good for him!
Omg thanks to whoever said speed it up. Cause I couldn’t deal but I wanted to hear this call
Excellent advice Davy
This was great advice.
"Where no counsel is, the people fall: But in the multitude of counsellors there is safety." Proverbs 11:14. Love the biblical reference, Dave. Awesome.
Give Tony a chance. The fact that he called in shows that he want to do what is right.
Proverbs 13:22: A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children
So many callers seem like they can't hear Dave or understand him. I wish Dave's co would fix the lag.
I wanted to listen to this but couldn't make it through. I hope it works out for him
Ugh it took him like 20 seconds from start to finish to say what his career and degree is. 🤦♀️
Tony likes the wacky tabacky! Wishing you well bro.
Dear heavenly days, boy, this is only an hour show! Takes him forever to get a word out.
Very wise advice! Never trust one investor with all of your money!
Good advice Dave!!
I just inherited 3 million. What should I do?
Sell your car, rice and beans, and get on a written budget.
No one gives this advice. Maybe you should start your own show.
Dave forgot to mention that he needs someone to advice him on how Not to marry the wrong person. Especially in a community property state like CA.
@NurturingTalents It all depends. If he uses that inheritance money to buy a house in CA after marriage. Then his and the wife remodel the house with both of their earned income. Now the house can be split 50/50 during a divorce. That is why he must have a prenuptial agreement and separate his post and pre- marital assets. All of these must be done ahead of time. Hope he is smart enough to realize that.
I love this guy, he is completely oblivious to the fact that Dave Ramsey is asking questions. It’s my show now 😂
"Tony" is a troll. What a waste of time!
Why do you think he’s a troll? I’ve had friends inherit much more than this
All Seeing EYE lol true
I think it’s a bogus call
@@dialac1 Yeah, *everyone's* had friends inherit more than this...
Wow! With that kind of money you can buy a modest home in San Francisco!
Move out to Colorado / Texas and retire. Buy a really nice home for 300-400k and live off the interest.
unless you really want to live in the USA, im sure there are many other european or asian countries where you can live for generations if you keep your lifestyle in check. which means buying a reliable lightly used car, modest home with room to grow, investing majority of money, etc. and that also means not buying extras like a fancy yacht, luxury car, mansion, etc. imagine spending what you make as an average in USA (~$3000 per month lets say) and making it go further by living in a much cheaper country. you can live like a tourist very comfortably.
@@asadb1990 ☝️this right here!

Yes, advisors are there to ‘advise’, recommend and suggest, and it’s your decision whether to go with their recommendations or not. If they consistently make recommendations that are not in alignment with your goals, then it’s time to find new advisors. Of course, if your goals are to party and/or buy hot rods/Gucci bags, then perhaps they aren’t the problem. Good advise Dave!

I HATE people that don’t answer immediately. If you can hear the question.. answer it geez 😒

It's so funny how we, well ME get 👀👀👀 when the callers say they were left these BIG amounts and Dave just sits unphased, no reaction at all...lol....this guy gonna blow this money ☹😔🙏🏾
Dave recognized this dude needs to speed up, and took over. I love it
I fear for Tony's ability to handle such a windfall of cash. But good luck to him.
Amen!
Beautiful journey, one that folks really need to watch. I’m 50, retired a while at 45. I have 35% of my capital invstments in an IRA, 25% in index funds, and the balance spread across other investment accts, in cumulative of over $ 5M. I receive income from my rental properties too. Zero debt and all is going accordingly.
If he doesn't have one already buy a modest house , live in it renovate it, rent it out, use ELOC to buy another and renovate that, rent it, pay off the ELOC , repeat
Always be wise with money.
Put it all in VOO and collect. Simple to say, but hard to put it in action.
Just me possibly, but listening to his voice, the feeling that he is reading from a script, and stumbles on simple questions so, I just don't believe the story
Scripted by who and why?
@@210SAi By the guy that called in obviously, and I may be totally wrong, but this just seemed like a prank call and he wasn't prepared.
I just think he didn't want people to figure out who he is that's all. It's smart to answer with caution.
This is TYPICAL. This happens all the time. This isn't fake, you're just jealous.
MacMeezy34 good point. I’ve often declined calling in because I would not want people figuring out my identity
This guy on the phone sounds like he’s teaching my math class
Good luck to Tony.
I got a degree in PC upgrade and repair from Bob's college at the shopping center down the road!
This person is blessed to be in that position. Don't be stupid with it.
Yeah I advise he puts it in a high yield savings account and then spend some years learning to invest or at least learning on how to handle finances.
I would do what Ralph or Richy would say from Happy Days...”Sit on it Potsy”.
Might be a fake call like some folks are suggesting, but I don't know. If I found out I had inherited a huge amount of money, I might be a bit "shell shocked" as well. Plus, it can be nerve racking talking to someone famous on the phone, especially if you know that will be broadcast to the world. He might be choosing to speak slowly so he doesn't give away too much information to where people could figure out who he is and show up asking for money.
.
Regardless, Dave's advice is spot on: any of us who inherited a life-changing amount of money would do well to enlist the assistance of experts, not to tell us exactly what to do, but to get wisdom and guidance.
Some people thinking this guy is not for real. Dave's advice still stands regardless. :)
I would be happy to help him invest it.
Dave Ramsey into Wisdom Of Crowds
Put the money in a CD and do not make any big movements for at least 3 months. Do the research and make sure you are 100% before you give anyone a nickel to invest

I have enough money saved that i can pay off all my debt but then my bank would be empty.. Though then i would have an extra 400 a month to save... However if i stay on current path all debt would be paid in a year without needing to empty my bank account... Leaving me about 15k as a cushion if something were to happen... Should i pay off all my debt and have no cushion and slowly rebuild... Or should i keep making monthly payments for the next year or so and pay it off at higher cost without hurting my cushion?
