I definitely love the new sound of the Lonny pickups! In fact, for me, when I listen, I notice a huge difference! Let's say it sounds much clearer and smoother, if I had to describe it in any way it would be like this! Awesome video. Happened to see if there was a video on any HZ40 Bass pickups (meant for 5 string, but fits my 4 string better.). This video is good enough to excite me for my shipment coming in a couple days to fix this same issue my bass is having. I’ll be slapping one on a Dean Edge 09 I am playing on. The tone in my opinion also sounds a lot better with the EMG, thick and cleaner! Will update you with how my upgrade goes! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

@LonnyEagletonMusic very much so! There was no base at the last bvb show I saw so much better all around hahaha 🤣 when I saw bvb in 2014 Ash's bass was a little wacky, all you could hear hahaha, but was good

Sure thing! I’ll see if I can get that going here on the channel. The Actives still haven’t been installed on the other one yet, but my tech has them ready to go, so hopefully soon.
i saw you in riverside last night. it was my first bvb concert! i was the one with the pink sign that said "Im here for CC!!!" and kept yelling YA LONNY!!!!! lol i THINK CC waved at me....
These were the bass pickups you were talking to me about on our call before the Birmingham show! I can definitely tell the difference, to me, the bass pickups make the sound of the bass sound a bit crisper and cleaner as well, and the vibrations are a bit sharper with the EMGs. They're subtle differences, but definitely noticeable.
You should bring out the bass painted neon green one night, see what band mates reaction would be.

Bro, as the bass player the EMG pickups sounds way more better and very clean sound in my opinion, so you did a great job to change it and it doesn't feel the buzz anymore.

i usually really like emgs, but for what kinda bass tone I like i prefer the stock pickups

Lonny, I have a question.
What person inspired you to dedicate yourself to music?
A combination of so many things. Can’t pinpoint it to one specific person. It’s more so a collection of various bands, events, and moments during my teenage years!
Did your front of house folk notice the change and make any comments on how the bass now sits in the mix?
We actually had a new FOH start with us at the beginning of this tour, so he never had any experience with us prior to the EMG swap. That being said, he did tell me that the bass was sounding nice out front.

D’Addario XL Nickel Wound
-Drop B tuning: 55-110 (replace with 130)
-Drop C# tuning: 50-105 (replace with 125)

You can totally tell the difference. The EMGs do sound better. Totally sucks you have to go knobless. That Eagle.knob is so cool.

All the technical stuff you said was complete gibberish to me lmao. So in my very uneducated opinion, the EMG pickups make the bass sound bassier 🤘🏼

In my opinion, the sound of EMG Pickups is definitely lower frequency, thicker and darker. And I got so used to the PRS sound in your videos. The PRS sound is a bit higher and brighter in my opinion. Created for playing more lively crazy songs in metal music.
