He was supposed to be easing my disability - but instead he abused me.

  • Days was born with disabilities that make life very uncomfortable and difficult. So, when a family friend who understood her disability offered to give her massage for her muscular ailments, it seemed like a positive thing to introduce to young Days. But this man could not have made a more negative impact on Days’s life and abused his position in order to sexually abuse Days.
Days’s strength and determination to see this man brought to justice is utterly admirable.

Thank you for telling your experience Days. Your courage in doing this and going through the court process is inspiring and will hopefully help others to speak out. I wish you continued healing and a happy life 🫶🏻

Your courage in speaking out has, no doubt, saved at least one person from what you went through in the six years he was incarcerated, possibly more. It's a shame he didn't have to serve his whole sentence but . did make a difference. You might not have to continue dealing with those triggers. My abuse was different but I understand PTSD -- even hearing my phone ring would be a trigger but it's not anymore. I was able to get Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy, also known as EMDR, and it was amazing! I hope that EMDR or some method of therapy will help you avoid a lifetime of triggers in exchange 6 for your abuser's measly six years. Too often, it seems that the system is not fair. But look at you now! Congratulations on your wedding and your flat and your cat! And best wishes or continued healing, Days! You're amazing and your video will help others ...

Thank you for sharing your story. You're an inspiration to other victims. Like myself. My heart feels so sore for you. Always remember he was the adult. And you never deserved that. The justice system should stick to the sentenced 13 years. The predators are always good at proving good behaviour. I send so much love to your onward journey ❤

So so proud of you daisy. I too am so disappointed at the justice system I so am (that’s to put it lightly). But I’m so so proud of you, to do what you did takes so so much strength and bravery, I’m so so proud. - Joey
