Ok I have important question. I am thinking of joining the reserves as an officer through the direct entry education program. Please tell me something. How often are you home off duty and how often are you deployed to another state?

Lillian Rieck Hi Brian, Lilian, to answer your question, I am a Boatswain's Mate (now a BM1). Lilian you are correct in that the ME rate is now performing the mission alongside BMs at the Small Boat Stations. So either rate is a great way to go!

Adrien Cheval E-4 to E-6 in two years? That's pretty impressive, unless the video is older than the upload date?

Lillian Rieck The video is actually from 2010. But yes, I did make E-6 in April of 2012. I am taking the service wide for BMC this coming October.
