A few notes!
- The Fujinon MKX lenses are sharper wide open at T2.9
- my definition of "vintage" will be different from your
- most of my footage I couldn't show - waiting on client approval :/
- overall happy with cine zooms in general because are workhorse for commercials and cinema!

Awesome video as always! However I was told by multiple DoPs that the Laowa Ranger has this more modern look similar to the Sigma 18-35 and others.But I guess we can manipulate the look in post.

So true about how at longer focal lengths you don’t need crazy fast speeds to get nice separation. I live streamed an outdoor graduation with a Sony 150-600 f5.6/6.3 and everyone raved about how amazing it looked and I was thinking the whole time how sad it was that I didn’t even use my 35 or 50mm f1.4 sigma primes lol

I was looking at the DZO Parfocal zooms for MFT but what kept me from buying a zoom was the sensor stabilization, since I'd have to change the setting every time I changed focal length on my GH5. Still, the flexibility of a zoom has to be nice.

I’m not really a big fan of Zooms just because I’ve always worked with Primes but these Laowa joints 😮‍💨 I gotta save up a bit for the 16-30mm. That’s a CRISPY focal length might be mad sharp too. Looking forward to what you think!

Would love to know the performance of the metabones ultra EF-FX locking speedbooster. There's not a lot of information or video out there about these since its a new speedbooster. I would also personally know what lenses you would pair to the speedbooster

Yes - that why there is back focus adjustment. And all of the zooming shots held focus if you didn't notice
