    Great video! I used to sail these with my Dad and now want to take my son out but it’s been awhile so I needed a refresher! Thanks! I remember we turned it over a few times, and hanging off the hull to right it is a clear memory of mine - hoping not to need that move until a few trips down the track!

    Tell me more about your trampoline. I like how you filled in the gaps!

      The guy I bought it from said his wife didn’t like the splashing, so he found these somewhere aftermarket. I don’t think Hobie makes them. The color matches perfectly, and they do the job!

    Great video, are these readily available these days?

      I believe Hobie still sells new ones. I found mine on Craigslist. Facebook marketplace is another place to look for a used one.

    on a beach in the surf no good to start learning ??

    • @upnorthguy
      @upnorthguy  Год назад

      You can learn on a beach! Try it when the windspeed is low, it doesn’t take much wind to get the Wave going! Best of luck!

    What is the smallest acreage lake you would put this boat on? Also, how much wind speed does it take to get moving?

    • @upnorthguy
      @upnorthguy  2 года назад +1

      I would say 300-400 acres would be the smallest lake, otherwise you would be turning around too much. The boat can get moving on a very small amount of wind, a breeze that creates a ripple on the water is enough. It’s one of the things I love about it - how it can start and come back on so little wind!

      Hi, do you know the max wind speed knots it can go out in ? Thanks

    turning into the wind is a tack, turning with the wind is a jibe and needs to be done carefully as that is when things are most likely to break.
