Thanks Ray! and your right it does show up so I fixed it today, I actually drilled it back out today and filled it with walnut filler/hide glue/walnut sawdust and not it blends right end, was loosing sleep over that one lol,
No wood goes to waste in my shop. It's either a project or BTU's in the stove. :)

I have a question if you don't mind answering on pricing around east TN. i dabble in woodworking on the side and grab some slabs every now and then if they are reasonably priced. I checked your website and saw you had some 8/4 walnut slabs priced more reasonable than others. Usually I am purchasing FAS board walnut at the Mill or from locals for 4 to 5 dollars per bd. ft. I see many ads and places with slabs upon slabs at the $16 plus range and always wonder, who is the market? They don't seem to move much product at those prices. And most woodworkers I know won't pay it, and think it is insane. For an extremely interesting piece maybe, but normal no. It seems to me, and I could be wrong, slabs and mantles are a trend thing and the market is inflated and everyone is on the train. Don't get me wrong, if people can make money and earn a living great, I am free market and have a small biz. But it just hurts my head to see what some other people are asking for slabs, and I wonder if these prices are sustainable as more people cut slabs since it is the hot thing right now. Are you seeing that prices are getting too high for the market around here, or do you feel demand is high enough and things are fine? You would know better since you are in the selling business. I have just been curious about it because everyone I speak with about it that have been woodworkers for a while laugh and shake there head when I ask them about it.
