      Im sure Solardo have actually done a tutorial themselves or at least half of solardo has on tribesman. Not the best tutorial as the guy (think its mark) doesn't come across that well but defiantly gives you an insight in to how that track was made from the lads that produced it.

    • @ounahh
      @ounahh 5 лет назад +3

      @@reeceprice2882 I don't think the breakdown of that track teaches how you can actually program the bassline. Their tutorial focuses on other aspects, not on the synth configuration itself. Fact is that the tribesman bassline is absolutely massive and it would be really interesting to see a tutorial from our man about this.

    Just FYI guys; Portamento is what glides the notes and the time selector 'Port Time knob' under 'always' is what determines the note drive. The notes do not need to overlap. Selecting 'Mono' disables Poly mode, AKA disables the polyphony count, the number of keys that can register at once, next to MONO is the Poly amount that can be edited allowing you to save memory if you only need X amount of key strikes. And Legato stops the re-triggering of set envelopes, again, not Portamento, completely different.
    This guy is the expert, I wouldn't question him, and I could be wrong about ALL of this and read the entire manual backwards. But I don't often use Poly mode on a Sub-bass when I am triggering one note at a time. That's just me.

  • @GHustle1000

    Great tutorial, definitely shined some light on using notes with "Always" unchecked, instead of pitch bending in the midi. Also, for anyone wondering, use these techniques and the Tech House Kick tutorial he recently did to really make that sub POP!

    One thing I'd recommend is mapping the Note tracking (above the mono and legato buttons, next to VEL) to turn down the oscillator volumes the higher you play. This way you avoid the higher notes sounding too boomy (our ears perceive the higher frequencies as being louder when Serum plays them evenly). I usually edit the graph until it sounds right.
    Great tips! I've never tried the square before!

    Hardstyle always has the answer, 1 sine , 1 Waveshaper doing asymetric dist and then an eq with a lowcut to phase the wave to the centre again so It become symetrical again and you get those juicy harmonics 🙇

  • @LemoBeatc
    @LemoBeatc 4 года назад

    I still don't get why I should choose a sine wave over a square wave. Let's say I am in Sine heaven, is a sine wave in that case better than a square wave? Or does it not matter.
