I KNEW THAT WAS DAVID HARBOR! During the opening cinematic, I kept thinking he looked and sounded a lot like him, and then at character selection, I was like, "YEAH! I WAS RIGHT!"

One time I thought I would be clever. I posted a comment on one of Gabs video's requesting she play Alone in the Dark, a game myself and many others feel is the OG of horror games. Also a game that holds a special place in my heart. She promptly respond that she already had. I was both a little humbled and excited as now I got to watch and re-live my memories through another.

I personally like watching Gab more, because she’s one of the few people that usually has the patience to listen or read the lore and enjoy the atmosphere. Seems like John is one of the people that don’t really care about that stuff, or has that much patience for reading/listening.
@@yosenpaitommy213 Personally I disagree. I watch John because he's one of the few people who goes out of his way to read everything. Also he has a new baby so, if it has less of an attention span now, that's certainly understandable and to be expected.
@@kimchi_______ Funny because there are plenty of times when John mentions in his play throughs that if anyone expects him to go through all clues or read all of lore, that he’s the wrong RUclips channel for that. Also, him having a baby doesn’t change my mind on what kind of vids or vibes I want to watch on RUclips as a viewer.

omg, the voodoo and New Orleans background really strongly reminded me of an old puzzle point-and-click game, Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Father! I even remembered what "goat without horns" meant because of that game, it was so good!

It's got House of Leaves (book) or Impossible Landscape (Delta Green RPG campaign) vibes. I love a changing environment story. It's a fun take on horror... Something deeply unsettling with the thought that the world around you isn't what you think it is and you can't figure it out because it changes

I just heard Yuri Lowenthal's performance as Mr. Waites, and I immediately thought of the Railroad Man.
OMG! Having a tree in a glass enclosure is not only a want, but was an ACTUAL DREAM of mine as a child! I've never known anyone else who wants this! In my dream it was a mild spring day with gray skies and light rain. I opened the door on the round enclosure and sat on the little wooden ledge/walkway around the tree. My feet were bare and I let my legs dangle over the edge and get a little wet from the rain that filtered down through the branches. My sister was there and did the same. That was probably around age seven or eight and it has always stayed in my mind as a dream that I'd love to have if I win the lottery and can build my dream home.
So happy to see this game getting so much love from streamers and youtubers. I played the original in 92 and its sequel and they are two of my most cherished gaming memories to date. I have completed my first playthrough (as Carnby) and about to do an Emily playthough this weekend. There are so many great nods to the original and it does give me that same feeling. The 'Doom Jazz' soundtrack is excellent. Hope you enjoy the rest of your playthrough Gab.

This was a fun video to watch! I started it a while back, but just got distracted in finishing it until now. The story seems interesting, but I also feel confused. Lol. Hopefully, I can understand better as the game goes on. I love the way you play games like this. And, somehow, watching you play, I don't jump at the jumpscares (like I do when playing myself). Looking forward to watching the next video on this, and more!

I love sitting down to watch a new Gab Smolders video. Always a treat. I doubt Gab will see this, but I did just play a game that I think would be right up your alley called Signalis. It's a fantastic indie horror game, and it's got such heavy Silent Hill vibes that I think you'd absolutely adore.

I played a lot of point and clicks, if you have played a game called "Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers" you probably have heard that term before "Cabris sans cor". When I heard that I remembered that game and knew this was going to go down and dark fast. Awesome.
Finally settling in and watching this. This game is just the type of horror I needed. I love the atmosphere of this already.

It IS Hopper! No way!! I was like " Is it him? It sounds like him even LOOKS like him...... ITS David Harper who plays Jim Hopper in Stranger Things who is my second favorite character!!" Hence, now I REALLY REALLY want to watch this!
