I love tassels! You'll definitely see more of them used in my videos. I like experimenting with different styles of tassels. They add a touch of elegance without being too much.
Such an amazing transformation! I don't think I could ever do this, but really enjoyed watching it. The light show at the end was my favorite part, I would be opening it all night. :)
Thank you :) This was quite a long project, it kind of scares me from taking on anything similar in the future. I'm a perfectionist so things always take so damn long.
this is so gorgeous I love everything you did to it, and all of your jewelry is so cute and dainty just to my tastes! I really love it all. I was watching this for inspo for a small earring box project. thanks for all the steps too!
I'm so happy you do :) Because I didn't think the color was truly captured. Its much more beautiful IRL. I had to mess around with the program to adjust the color, this is a close to the real thing as I could get.
What a sweet comment :) Thank you!! I love that basically every piece of jewelry can now be on display. It certainly makes it easier to reach for what I'm looking for. :)
I bought one of these for 8 bucks at Goodwill a couple months ago. When I get done with it I will give to my daughter as a gift. I've been looking for inspiration before starting the one I have and you have certainly inspired me. Thanks! )I LOVE that it lights up!) How did you do that?
That's wonderful :) I'd love to see what you come up with when you're finished, please don't forget to share photos :) I got the lights on aliexpress, you can look up [motion sensor closet light] you'll find various sizes. Happy DIYing!
Thank you, I got them on aliexpress actually. :) Most of the appliques broke during transit so I had to glue them back together, you can't even tell they were broken after painting and highlighting them with some gold. Some areas are slightly chipped but I think that adds to its beauty, nothing is prefect.
Hey there, just some regular interior paint. I brought in a color sample and had the assistant in the painting department match the color for me :) It worked out perfectly!
@@victoriawood1885 Not much really. :) About 1/10th of the can, I have so much left that I have to think up other projects to use it all up on. You could paint 10 of these armories with the paint :)
Hi! Is there any other ideas you can think of to help get the rest of the cardboard/paper that’s stuck in the drawers? I’m struggling to get it all off.....help lol
Hey Lisa, I'm thrilled to know that you're taking on this project! :) Removing that layer left behind by the jewelry liner was my LEAST favorite part of the process. The armoire had a special layer of super glue that held the liner flush against the surface, so removing the liner left behind bits of paper and glue. I started by ripping out the liner with a razor, and then sanding down what was left behind as best I could with sand paper. Then I used a power sander to strip away that pesky layer that hand sanding couldn't do. That's what I did to remove the entirety of the liner. It took a while but the extra effort was worth it, the results are a clean and smooth finish.
@@PeacockInTheRoom thanks for the help. I will give it a go.....i did a smaller one if these and the lining came out basically all in one bit and left little to no crap on the wood....this large standing one is pay back 🤣🤣🤣
I have it in my crafting closet. I'll most likely use it for another project. I don't know what for just yet, but I'm sure it'll pop up in a future vid :)
I loved the new transformation! I just bought one from the goodwill and looking for ideas. Loved your video! I am curious, what lights would you recommend?
Bitch looked like Cinderellas step sister before!
lol a little harsh..
@@PeacockInTheRoom very harsh I think.
So professionally done, the details were far out, and you talk like a princess :) The piece is just lovely.
Fantastic transformation! You were the only person to remove all the lining and that was exactly what I was looking for!
Thanks! That's just me, I like to see EVERY detail through.
same
Finally a jewelry box remodel with all the necessary details! Thanks for sharing.
Glad you liked it!!
My favorite part is the golden lock and tassels. So elegant 👑
I love tassels! You'll definitely see more of them used in my videos. I like experimenting with different styles of tassels. They add a touch of elegance without being too much.
i'm really inspired by your video i cant believe the before and after you would never think it used to look like that lol!
The before one was so plain
Thank you :) If you didn't witness this DIY for yourself I'm sure you would have thought this Armoire was born this way!
Such an amazing transformation! I don't think I could ever do this, but really enjoyed watching it. The light show at the end was my favorite part, I would be opening it all night. :)
I was just gonna say the same thing! The lights are so cool!! How did you do that?
Thank you :) The light show is my favorite part too, I'm glad you guys enjoyed the video! Micro LED light sensors were used for the lighting.
@@PeacockInTheRoom they're automatic? Thats next level cool!
Absolutely gorgeous jewelry armoire!
Unbelievable work
Thank you :) This was quite a long project, it kind of scares me from taking on anything similar in the future. I'm a perfectionist so things always take so damn long.
I really love this. I just bought some of those roses to add to my cabinet!
Cool! I actually just learned how to mold these so I don't have to buy them anymore.
That is spectacular!!!
It's soooo beautiful! I love the stenciling on the inside, really makes it pop. :)
Thank you for the positive feedback Lisa!! Something definitely would have been missing had I kept the interior as is :)
Beautiful, really good work. I love the tassled keys. Good video. nice light show ;-)
Thank you!! I'm so glad someone enjoyed the light show :)
It’s beautiful 🤩
Wow! Really talented. Great job

Yeah I'm really happy with how it turned out. Each time I walk by the Armoire I cant help but smile. "Yeah, I made that!!"
Love love love!

Thanks for the acknowledgement :) I wish more people shared my esthetic :)

Thank you :) It's nice when someone has similar tastes as mine! Good luck on your earring box project :)
It is so gorgeous. You did a fantastic job. No recommendations here except keep doing what you do.
Thank you so much Jan!
I love the color! It's so bright and vibrant, would love to have that in my bedroom.

That was such a drastic transformation 😱 I LOVE it! How long did that take you to do? It looks like a lot of work!
It took too loooooooong! I'm embarrassed to say. I'm a bit of a perfectionist so that also played a part in how long this project took.
Amazing!!! 🥂👌👍❤️
Thank you 😋
Just subscribed!!! This is gorgeous
Aw thanks sweetie!
This is incredible. How did you learn how to do all of this? Can you make one for me too??
Thank you! You should DIY. I'm sure you'll find it very satisfying to make it yourself.
This just drips rococo style! Absolutely love it! Where did you find appliqués like that? Did you have to make them from molds? 🤔
Thank you, I got them on aliexpress actually. :) Most of the appliques broke during transit so I had to glue them back together, you can't even tell they were broken after painting and highlighting them with some gold. Some areas are slightly chipped but I think that adds to its beauty, nothing is prefect.
Can I ask with the liner how do you get the nice finished edges for at the top of the drawers? Obviously it's not just stuck on flat. X
This is beautiful, what kind of paint do you use? Or can you use?
You can use any interior paint that's compatible with wood :)
can you share the type/ brand of primer/ paint used here?
Absolutely beautiful!!
What type of paint did you use?
Hey there, just some regular interior paint. I brought in a color sample and had the assistant in the painting department match the color for me :) It worked out perfectly!
How much paint did it end up taking? I have one that size in desperate need of a makeover

This is so amazinig!!!! where did you get the key and the key faceplate ???
Thank you :) Will you be starting a similar project? I just updated my description check under [Materials] for the lock and key.
How did you hang earring floating rack and with what tools/supplies?
Hey, just a regular screw at each end with a jump ring looped through and connector chain to the rack.
Where did you find the liner in such vibrant color?! You've done a wonderful job!!
Thanks :) I got it from Amazon. However it's sold out :(

8 hour dry time between coats?
Yep!
Where do you find the liner?
Amazon, unfortunately they haven't restocked it :(
What is the adhesive liner called ?
It's called Self Adhesive Velvet Liner
what will you do with the necklace hanger you didnt use?
I have it in my crafting closet. I'll most likely use it for another project. I don't know what for just yet, but I'm sure it'll pop up in a future vid :)
It was a timeless piece before you changed it.
It sure was :) It's certainly more versatile but it was in pretty bad condition. Not everyone will like what I did to it but I love it.
I loved the new transformation! I just bought one from the goodwill and looking for ideas. Loved your video! I am curious, what lights would you recommend?
