Thank you for sharing that tip about stripes and the clear coat blocking out bleeding. I see so many videos where people do the stripes or other things with tape and they don't do the initial clear coat, so often they have to sit there and hand-paint over the bleed through, and it doesn't turn out nice at all. You can also use the paint used on the 'under' color, the color that's taped off. I've also heard a coat of clear spray paint (matte) works just as well. The armoire turned out so beautiful, what a great transformation! Whoever ends up with that is sure to love it forever.
That sounds like that would work too good idea, I like doing it with top coat because it dries so quickly but the base color would work for sure. There is nothing worse than taping off to save time and having to go back and finish it by hand and lose that time you saved.
u did a fantastic job. This is a very special set because I had 1 that was stolen with all my valuables. Though it is not my preferred aesthetic I admit u have done a wonderful job painting it.
Thank you I really appreciate that even though its not your taste you can enjoy it and the work that went into it. These techniques are so transferable too for everyone tastes. So sorry to hear about your jewelry armoire that is terrible.
I subscribed. Beautiful design and color. Your tutorial was excellent. Your no frills delivery was a pleasure. Im a busy person and dont need a lot of 21:20 babble. I hope your channel grows quickly. It should. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much! Glad you like the delivery style and the end result. I do so much in almost every project I'd hate to think how long I could make the videos if I added padding and filler.
This turned out beautiful! I am getting ready to redo a very similar jewelry chest and this was a great guide. I was wondering how I would treat the inside fabric of the jewelry armoir, now I feel a little more confident about painting it after seeing yours!!!
Thank you - Its was a really nice base piece to work so many different possible ways to go with it too. Hope your project is going well and you get the look your going for.
It looks beautiful but if you had a dark cloth or board on the wall behind it, it might show up better on the video. Btw you look gorgeous in that pink color shirt in the final reveal❤
I agree I'm sorry about that I did not realize how hard it was to see it on the footage till after it was sold. I did change a few things in my shop so I can change my back drop much faster than before.
I got this one from retail.redesignwithprima.com/product/redesign-decor-stamp-stamped-damask-12x12-1-pc/ You can also find it on Etsy and some of them are on Amazon too.
I have used both topcoat and the original base color over the tape to prevent bleed through when making stripes. I have personally had more success using the original base coat paint…but same idea! paint….
That is really cool that you have found another way to get the same results. Its never quiet worked for me that way round but good to know it works for others.

Hi Ria! You created a gorgeous piece with that jewelry armoire. I have been working on one almost identical to your original piece.
Thank you - Its was a really nice base piece to work so many different possible ways to go with it too. Hope your project is going well and you get the look your going for.
That turned out so pretty and feminine! You are so clever.💙💙💙

How did you apply the silver wax on jewelry box?
Did you use the same silver rub on the drawer edges as you did for the handles? If not then what did you use
For the edges of the drawers I used the same metallic paint that I used for the strips.
Where did you get those stamp patterns
I got this one from retail.redesignwithprima.com/product/redesign-decor-stamp-stamped-damask-12x12-1-pc/
You can also find it on Etsy and some of them are on Amazon too.

I have never used wax on a stamp
It works really well I was so happy with how it came out.
Talk a lot
It's lovely.
I'm suprised you weren't tempted to make it the same as you're beautiful mermaid dressing table, and keep it!
I don't know why but I never thought of that, maybe on the next one.
