Frusciante dislikes the guitars on this album. Felt they were over the top and not indicative of his preferred playing style. I love this album and the in your face guitars. It is my favorite RHCP album. To me they never had a more energizing collection of songs. The songs just rip along and I agree Frusciante totally shreds. This is RHCP at the height of their frenetic powers.
