    New content!👏🏻I'm glad you come back to the channel. As you say, I think is good idea you talk about how start in the gym or a Q&A🤔

    Hi Dan. Glad to be able to follow you here too. My request is that you please cover different exercises that can be used to achieve the same muscle groups. Due to prior injuries, some exercises cause me pain. I don’t always know an alternative to achieve the same outcome. I like to have knowledge of many different forms of the same exercise. Also as a newbie to the gym, covering machines and free weights variations would also be helpful. I don’t always know which machines can be used for what. Also, I find my form is better using a machine rather than free weights because I don’t have all the postures / forms down.

    I’m 47 and have not been to the gym .. what holds me back is being embarrassed about not knowing what to do and also looking weak compared to other guys who might be there

    Happy to see this channel make a comeback! I would love to see what advice you had on lower back/core training for movements that have you pick up stuff from the floor like an atlas stone or even a deadlift. I'm interested in trying Strongman in the future but I'm in a powerlifting meso right now. I would still appreciate some advice from you when I make the switch, Dan. Thanks!

      Cool, that gives me a few ideas for stuff to talk about. One thing i can say right now is don't be too afraid of having a bit of fun and trying stuff now and then. You wont ruin your power lifting meso by having a little session trying strongman stuff. Just be careful, stretch warm up and dont do crazy weights.

    A problem I have noticed from a lot of new comers to the gym is that they do not know a proper schedule to follow so they do random workouts, I would love to see your advice on how to create a good schedule with the best exercises and how you would divide the days based on body area of focus (push/pull days).

      Excellent point, as such it's already a planned video :) "How to plan your training routine etc"

    Great, I will subscribe but I wont be doing any working out. When I was your age I went to the gym 5-6 days a week. I have some spine issues and now in a wheelchair. (not after sympathy Im used to it now, and it saved my a small fortune in new shoes and cobbler bills too. While watching someone is not the same, I can have a bag of crisps while you get sweaty🤣🤣

      Sounds like a silver lining not having to visit those expensive cobblers eh!!

    In order to build up channel numbers very quickly, my suggestion is to make some videos with you wearing the absolute minimum of clothing, only enough to avoid being arrested and/or de-monetised. Ensure that the lack of clothes is visible in the thumb nail photo! Thank you for the video!

    How timely. Your introduction to this new channel popped up in my feed and I was thinking, "Gee, is Dan ever going to show us gym stuff?" and mate, here you are. I am a total couch potato but maybe I can find some stuff that will motivate this old lady into activity. Can you show how you endurance train? Thanks, Dan.

    As much as I've been in the gym (taking a hiatus at the moment) one of my concerns was wanting to reduce injury while lifting and any advice on how to make sure I'm not favoring a certain side of my body to get symmetry..hope that makes sense.

    • @danthecobbler
      @danthecobbler  Год назад +1

      Well, symetry and injury prevention are two seperate things imo. As long as you stretch a decent amount especially hips and legs, and work cautiously and with good form with your weights youre on a good path to injury prevention. As for symmetry, you'll find even healthy bodies look a bit wonky even when forms fine, me for exampple at the bottom of a squat one knee is higher than the other, but thats just my bio mechanics.

    can a biceps curl go wrong? i just mentioned, that i dont make progress since months... but funnily push ups go easier from week to week... 😋😋💪

    • @danthecobbler
      @danthecobbler  Год назад

      You can certainly injure yourself, if you try and lift silly weights with bad form, I’ll do a bicep curl video
