Can you demonstrate and make video of the entire process modelling of the solar array, wind turbine and grid coupling with electrolyser in Aspen plus dynamics V14 ? Anyway Thanks for making this demo session and it is really helpful.
Thanks a lot for the demo session, it was super useful. I wanted to ask a few questions: 1. Can we specify each cell individually in teams electrode and diaphragm types? For example, I have a stack with 32 cells, each with a different electrode design and diaphragm. 2. During stack operation, can we estimate the diaphragm's lifetime, degradation, and the performance of the cathode and anode coatings? 3. Is it possible to estimate the bubble and void fraction for each cell? 4. Lastly, can I view, change, or modify the mathematical model? Looking forward to your next video!
This was a nice demo. I had no idea that Apsen could model electrolysis now. Can the electrolysis model be used to model the transport of other cations across the membrane besides hydronium? For example the transport of metal ions across a cation exchange membrane. Also I assume you need to have the electrolyte package in Aspen to do this simulation is that correct?
Thank you! both David and Emmanuel for bringing us this detailed and very insightful demo session. Really informative! I am currently working on Pt-X process, for hydrogen production, I am using stack data for labscale stack, but to scale it up for industial use, I am trying to increase the cell area and number of cells, do I need to change any other parameters for the stack?
@@ChemicalEngineeringGuy Thanks and I am looking forward to it! Also I am wondering is there any specific way to calculate the required water flowrate for the electrolyzer module to work efficiently? Because I am trying to validate my simulation model with the HRI's electrolyzer and I am wondering if there is any ways I can calculate water flowrate based on some parameters for instance, cell area, number of cells and stacks, current density, temperature, pressure, etc. 😄

Thanks for your efforts really appreciate your videos
thanks for your kind comments! Any specific doubt regarding the Electrolyzer Model?

Thanks for this questions! I'm still working on the Q&A!

That is a great question, I'll be adding it to the Q&A!

Good work! Is there a way to use this model for the Chlor-Alkali process?
Most likely! Do you want to make a more in-depth question on the topic? I'll be adding all these questions to the Q&A for next vid!
