Stunning video. I cannot get to the Augrabies Falls, so I have really appreciated the effort you went to to give folk like me a sense of the awesome power of the water. Mesmerizing!
So baie Baie Dankie liewe Jors Man ... Dis wonderbaarlik! Mens voel so nietig maar ook so oneidig geseen!
Morning Jors, thank you so much for this incredible video of Augrabies. Not likely I will ever visit this area but you have brought them to life for me. Good luck with the pumps and have a fantastic harvest. All your videos are really appreciated. Regards Val
having experienced this at a fraction of the flow rate, I can't imagine the sheer magnitude, the scale & power of the experience - it's a truly awe-inspiring event, something to be experienced at least once in a lifetime. well done Jors!
Wow. Mr Malan. All your videos, I can watch all day. Yesterday, I watched you as you went to look for the other Falls, passed Dolly Pardon. See You On The Next One, Cheers.
Jors, we saw you driving in at the Augrabies gate, just as we were driving out (having stayed 2 nights) ... we took a quick trip from Cape Town to see the falls, and admittedly, inspired to do this by your daily videos !! Nice road trip back via Keimoes, Kenhardt, Brandvlei, Calvinia and back to the N7 at Vanrhynsdorp.
Wow! Having had the privilege of canoeing the Orange river, camping at Augrabies and seeing these beautiful falls, I'm truly appreciative of your informative videos. Great footage, thanks Jors for an epic experience 👏 👍 😎 All the best with your harvest this week.
I am so glad I found your channel! These are by far the best videos of the falls that I have ever seen. I have spent many times at Augrabies, but have never seen it in flood. Thank you.
Experiment very successful. Now I'm definately leaning towards water winning the mesmerising contest. Looking at the water, the flow and waves are more unpredictable than the flames of a fire. Once again, excellent job and thanks a mill Engelsman
Baie dankie vir 'n fantastiese video!! Ek het die stadige gedeeltes geniet (5:15; 8:00; 8:55; 10:07; 11:37; 13:36 en 19:56) want dit wys die kragtige valle op 'n unieke wyse. Sterkte met die oestyd!
Many thanx for the update, Jors, and i understand there will be even more water coming down in the next two months until end January '23, man o man that's a lot of water flowing into the Atlantic...😎
Brilliant video. We we there on Friday and Saturday. What an awesome experience. Got soaking wet! Definitely a bucket list experience! Thanks Jors for the effort and good updates. All the best for the harvest.
Well done Jors! Truely a magnificant sight and a video that does justice to it. Gives one a good ideaa of its awsome power as a mighty river and waterfall.
Good job, Jors!! Here in Canada we have some large rivers too but I don't think we have any points as accessible as near to the power of the water. Its an awe-inspiring event to see. Good job with the editing, narrating and filming too. Good work from your parks department for building the walkways for viewing,...and thank you to the park for letting people get close. We have too many lawyers here I think,....some lunatic would would climb over the fence for a "selfie", slide into the abyss and the lawsuits would be almost as thick and fast as the river!
The new railings are pretty good, and the staff are serious about what they do. Canada is a very large place, i am sure there are still enough space for adventure?
EPIC! That was fantastic Jors. This video really was a treat. I get the feeling Mother nature seems particularly angry while watching this video. The posts have have been top notch over the last couple weeks. Good Luck with the harvest and as you say, "See you on the next one" 😀
You certainly captured the sheer raw power and energy of the falls! I saw them at a less hectic time and remember even then getting my camera wet! Thanks again a fabulous sight!
Good morning Jors, we were there last in 2014 with a friend from Greenland. This video will be waiting for him when he wakes up later today. He will be amazed as much as I am. Thanks so very much. All the best with the harvest. Regards to you and your family.
Dankie!
That Is absolutely beautiful 😍 🤩 👌 ❤️ I wish I was there right now to experience it , however with your awesome videos I will just pretend I am there. The beauty of nature still mesmerizes me, mother nature in her full glory. I am in kzn Pietermaritzburg and we have some beautiful places here as well take a look on RUclips. Anyways thank you for taking the time to post these videos. We really love it
I want to thank you for this absolutely wonderful video. I would love to visit, but at the moment I am happy to watch through your lenses. You are really doing a fantastic job. Congratulations. The force of the water of the falls must be astronomical. Thank you. God bless
That volume of water is difficult to actually comprehend. 1992 was the last time in a Matric tour that I was there. Hopefully I can return in the next rainy season to see it in flood. Thanks for the continued inspiration to watch your videos and to plan a return trip to the falls👍
Asemrowend! Nogmaals dankie.
Great video! Baie dankie. Hou so aan.
Tons and tons of water that originally fell as singlr drops of rain..engles language doesnt hav words that adequately describe the sight...awesome thanks Jors i doubt i'll ever get to see it in reality.🙏
Excellent video thank you, i saw it in 2021 for the first time live and then included a visit to the Kgalagadi National Park with it. Both was spectacular.
Thank you Jors. Awesome. I have never been to the Augrabies falls. I really appreciate the trouble you've gone to give us the feeling of really being there. I love desert areas. Such a feeling of peace and serenity. Looking forward to your next one. Blessings
Wow that was absolutely amazing! Thank you for sharing that with us that won't be able to get there personally, but I felt as if I was there, so thanks again! Have a great evening Cheers from PE
Thank you for the effort and the special experiences for those not able to get there. Yesterday s trip along the river was such an adventure. Thank you for walking driving and filming that for us
Lovely Jors. Seen it before but like you I can watch water for hours - but fire too... 😉 What might be interesting is to prepare a short video of Augrabies with a split screen where imagery of the low flow can be compared with imagery of the high flood flows, identifying sections that are usually dry but are now covered with flood waters...? (maybe even an inset?) Based on your figures it'd also be interesting to calculate how many "Gariep Dams worth" of water has flowed through Augrabies since about 15 November or earlier? (As you know PE is suffering under terrible drought conditions - 7/8 years now - and while 65% of our water comes from Gariep via Oviston and to see sooo much water heading to the Atlantic Ocean is kinda heartbreaking)
Yes the limit of the tunnel to supply the EC from Gariep is 40m3 /s if I remember correct. I have done some of the calculations like that in past videos, will do again
Thank you for your effort Jors The video footage is absolutely stunning, enjoyed your commentary. Objective achieved Very well done and much appreciated.
Jors, you knocked this footage out of the park! Especially with people in the foreground. Well done. Spectacular. Although, having been there, the sound add massively to the spectacle - and there's no ways you can get all of that as well. As you say; One really does have to visit the place. I've always wondered how many diamonds there might be at the base of those falls
Quite stunning. I just wonder how much soil/rock below and underneath the view points gets eroded and washed away by the rushing water...yikes!! A little scary.
Stunning video. I cannot get to the Augrabies Falls, so I have really appreciated the effort you went to to give folk like me a sense of the awesome power of the water. Mesmerizing!
Pragtig....baie dankie v jou moeite....ek geniet jou video's... Dis wonderlik
This is the best video of Augrabies I have ever seen... by far!!!!
Thanks.
So baie Baie Dankie liewe Jors Man ...
Dis wonderbaarlik! Mens voel so nietig maar ook so oneidig geseen!
Spectular! Enormous power cutting through bedrock. Its like total chaos in perfect symmetry. Thanks for that
Morning Jors, thank you so much for this incredible video of Augrabies.
Totally awesome capture, loved where you panned slowly with no narration , and the slow motion. Totally breathtaking video
All your videos are special. Thank you! Would like to see the harvesting process as well, if you have time
his has to be the best video of Augrabies in all its majesty I have seen. Thanks Jors
Thanks you.
When in flood, this is even more amazing then the Niagara falls.
Wow. Mr Malan. All your videos, I can watch all day.
Yesterday, I watched you as you went to look for the other Falls, passed Dolly Pardon.
See You On The Next One, Cheers.
Thank you for the sacrifice during harvest to get the footage, which is awesome beyond description ! Imagine the run off after Noah’s Flood.
The absolute majestically force of water raging down the Augrabies! Awe inspiring!! Thank you for showing this to us, Jors!😊
Good to have met, even if it was just in passing 😀
Wow Jors! What a fantastic video. You are much braver than I am, no way could I stand there. Thank you ☺️

Thank you so much Jors. This is spectacular. I was there with my brother about 15 years ago, but nothing like this.
Experiment very successful. Now I'm definately leaning towards water winning the mesmerising contest.
Looking at the water, the flow and waves are more unpredictable than the flames of a fire.
Once again, excellent job and thanks a mill
Engelsman

Baie dankie vir 'n fantastiese video!! Ek het die stadige gedeeltes geniet (5:15; 8:00; 8:55; 10:07; 11:37; 13:36 en 19:56) want dit wys die kragtige valle op 'n unieke wyse. Sterkte met die oestyd!

Good work from your parks department for building the walkways for viewing,...and thank you to the park for letting people get close.
We have too many lawyers here I think,....some lunatic would would climb over the fence for a "selfie", slide into the abyss and the lawsuits would be almost as thick and fast as the river!
There have been several lunatics at Augrabies over the years, make no mistake!

Excellent video thank you, i saw it in 2021 for the first time live and then included a visit to the Kgalagadi National Park with it.

Nothing beat actually standing there, the video in this case is only reminding you of what you have experienced in the past.

Thank you Jors. Awesome. I have never been to the Augrabies falls. I really appreciate the trouble you've gone to give us the feeling of really being there. I love desert areas. Such a feeling of peace and serenity. Looking forward to your next one. Blessings

Thank you for the effort and the special experiences for those not able to get there. Yesterday s trip along the river was such an adventure. Thank you for walking driving and filming that for us

Amazing! Definately on my bucketlist!

I've always wondered how many diamonds there might be at the base of those falls
I think the forced of the water flushes everything out of the gorge, where water speed is reduced is where it deposits.
Jors baie dankie vir you moeite , absolied pragtige video!!!!!!!! Ek het nie woorde nie man.
Great viewing thanks
Is it possible to view the falls from the other side of the river?
I have looked into that possibility and it apears not. It is part of the Augrabies nasionale park, otherwise I would already be there investigating.
great tks a lot for the effort.
PSALMS 8:10 . Dankie!
Quite stunning. I just wonder how much soil/rock below and underneath the view points gets eroded and washed away by the rushing water...yikes!! A little scary.
