Heidi breaking out laughing made the sketch 10 times funnier.
Maybe the best break since Jimmy Fallon lost it during the Cowbell sketch
@@cleverusername9369That, and the Debbie Downer Disney sketch.
I'm not sure I would have found it funny at all without the makeup and character beaks, but those make it hilarious. Really a lightning-in-a-bottle sketch.
She's cracked a little bit before, she's a person. We connect to people, she did a great thing
Except it didn't; the sketch was funny despite them. The actors who kept a straight face -- usually including Heidi -- sold the sketch and allowed Heidi and Ryan G. to break.
Her laughing made it 10 times funnier!
You almost have to wonder if her cracking up is the reason it is now a legendary sketch and the reason why they dressed up that way again for the premier of "Fall Guy"
Not at all.
I was going to say the same thing.
Yes! It was funny but she made it even funnier.
@@jackwilliams5474”Let’s argue about entirely subjective opinions.” 😊👍🏼
I met her in the train last week and I told her how amazing she was. she said I made her day. wonderful person!
Sure ya did 🙄
@John-nh5yr She lives in Brooklyn man. I work there. They all live around there. Matt Damon, Emily blunt. your acting like I met the president outside.
She comes across as a down to earth person. I absolutely believe that she takes the train.
@fosterfuchs Yeah she's on SNL. 1 it's easiest way in the city but also she's not that famous yet to be having bodyguards and cars lol
She’s seems like she would be really sweet in person. She’s definitely one of my favorite SNL actors💯
I’m convinced Mikey Day entered this sketch with the full intention of making Heidi break.
He said she saw what he looked like, but his head wasn't as exposed as it was when the show aired. The wig was more pushed forward.
@@sezzyridge And he also bugged his eyes out when she turned
@@gamegoof So true. I noticed that. He was on a mission. hahaha
One of the most genuine laughs in SNL history, from her and us while watching it. It was a top 10 SNL moment for me. I still laugh when she turns around, and butt head looks on like,.. who,.. me?
I'm sorry.... I'm just here to learn about AI.
It was staged, momo.
@@randycunningham7318 Your life is staged🙄
@@lordofgonzo I believe it.
That was such a simple concept for a sketch but executed to perfection. And her breaking made it 100x funnier 😂. It was so dumb, but sooo good. Easily one of the funniest moments in recent SNL history. That whole episode was really great. Definitely one of the consistently funniest ones in a long time.
Her breaking character was what made the bit funny and go viral. Not only did she lose it, but she struggled regaining composure. I died laughing and it was the buzz online as everyone took a mundane SNL skit and LMAOed over it. This will go down as one of SNL's top skits just because of Heidi.
Plus it’s only made funnier by the fact that Heidi NEVER breaks. All these years she’s been stone faced so to see her break SO badly is just hilarious 😂
Loved when Heidi held her hand up like "talk to the hand" as if her hand could "unsee" those exposed gums 😂😂
She’s been saving up her laughs for this one moment
I think it add's to the show! Did ya hear the audience? They were tearing up at her breaking😂
Its like you suppress it for all these years and finally it explodes
The beavis and butthead skit was one of the funniest things I have seen in a while!! Heidi losing her composure was icing on the cake.
LOVE HEIDI but to be fair, Ryan Gosling was breaking up and laughing pretty much in every sketch he was in and he had everybody around him cracking up the whole time as well lol
It was a really great episode. One of the best in a long time.
her breaking is making some weird news ...they have been breaking for many hilarious years!!!!!!!
legitimately the most enjoyable skit in 15 years - all due to her genuine reaction
That was 12x funnier because Heidi broke character - it gave Mikey Day two chances to look behind himself on either side which was all that much funnier - nicely played!
I had so much fun watching the rest of this video - thanks!
Her smile is beautiful, and her laughter is contagious. 🙂
When they break character it makes the skit soooo much better and funnier.
yes, hers is not any more funny
I think the writers and crew came up with a plan to finally make her break
Breaking character is part of the fun & attraction, SNL should know that by now if they don't, so not sure why these actors think they will get fired from breaking if it has been happening since the debut of this show.
@@robwebnoid5763they have to fit so many sketches in their runtime, so the show is planned out to the SECOND. if things go off script/delay further sketches, then they might not have time to complete all the sketches before they’re off the air. if a sketch goes way overtime due to breaking character then the entire crew needs to adjust on the fly, change lines, change sets and costumes differently than discussed before. and its hard for every department to be in the loop while the show is running
The only thing that was bad about Heidi’s interview was how super annoying Hoda and Jenna were! They should stop cutting off people with their loud laughter and meaningless banter.
They're Americans. What do you expect?
Meaningless banter should be the name of the show
Tons of other countries blab on and on get off your high horse
The worst!
They talk over each other as well as their guest. Hoda grunts & hums during interviews as a way to acknowledge the guests.
Heidi is a legend. This is the funniest sketch on SNL in years. Heidi losing it made the sketch 1000% better. Everything about her is gorgeous. ❤
She has nothing to worry about, Jimmy Fallon broke before the sketch even started several times.
Breaking character is part of the fun & attraction, SNL should know that by now if they don't, so not sure why these actors think they will get fired from breaking if it has been happening since the debut of this show.
Yea but he’s one of the only ones that don’t make it funnier when he breaks 😂. He did it way too often.
But he shouldn't have
So did Bill Hader.
@@MichaelWhitted-gi4tt Bill Hader and Fred Armisen tried to get each other to break in every The Californians sketch. And Hader always broke as Stephon because John Mulaney would change the lines on him.
My theory is that part of the reason people love this so much is because Heidi is incredibly cute when she smiles big.
wrong
IMO Heidi is pretty darn cute...
Laughter is contagious. Mystery solved.
I’ve never seen her remotely break before this
True. You can tell it's a genuine laugh in the sketch. It's very cute and humanizing
She broke during the Pedro Pascal hospital skit😂❤
Everyone did thay entire skit was thanks to pedro's crazy idea about how to talk funny!
@@systemBuilder it's easily in my top 10! Also, was thinking, she breaks a lot...not sure where they're getting this first time thing🤔
But nothing like this😂😂😂
Ohh yeah, that was a great one too lol
and slightly on the nate bargatze soul food one
Heidi is a godsend.
She’s amazing! It was the best sketch ever.
it was hilarious but it's not cowbell
It's up there but Debbie downer at Disney is the best
@@chelek1439 boring
Heidi is amazing at not breaking character in some of the most silly sketches. They made her break on purpose. I loved it. 😂
My favorite part is when they break character and laugh. Always has been. 😊
Jenna Bush advocating for communal living… maybe she should audition for SNL bc the idea of her in communal living is hilarious.
The problem with Hoda and Jenna is that they think THEY are the focal point of every segment and not their guests.
It was the same when it was Hoda and Kathie Lee. I think part of what makes their show successful is they present it like it's just girlffiends talking. But when girlfriends get together, they tend to get excited and talk over each other! It can get very annoying lol.
I'll add, though, it was hilarious seeing Heidi's face go blank when Jenna asked her about what she does to not break, and then says, "You know what **I** do?" It's like, Sweetie, we are not even in the same situation...
@@AndrewMacLaine While I agree, they have to remember that their guests aren't one of their "girlfriends". I do think it was MUCH worse with Kathie Lee because everything was about her. I think when it's just Hoda, she's really good about making her guests feel the center.
Totally!!!!
yep
She looked genuinely surprised. It was good makeup. I love Saturday night live even now when there’s so many live streams on the internet because somehow the best comedians are always on the show
Heidi has been one of my favorites since the start. She is honestly one of the best cast members on SNL
She's the sweetheart of SNL❤
Heidi’s cheekbones are amaaaaazing. She’s so beautiful and talented. And beautiful, but talents. And, beautiful.
lol..
Feel the same
That's what u took away from this? Amazing cheekbones? Lol
Yes. Yes. And yes. And yes.
@@davidcahan Don't blame him/her for being into cheekbones. I'm obsessed with girls with thick eyebrows, like Cara Delevingne, Emilia Clarke or Lilly Collins.
This skit is legit awesome!!!Even Ryan and Mikey brought their characters to the Fall guy Premiere last week!!!
The Beavis & Butthead sketch will go down as a SNL Top 10 because of Heidi's laugh
How can't you break character in that sketch? Also I personally love it when they break character.
Breaking character is part of the fun & attraction, SNL should know that by now if they don't, so not sure why these actors think they will get fired from breaking if it has been happening since the debut of this show.
@@robwebnoid5763 I loved when people would break character around will Ferrell.
I also love when they break. But Lorne Michaels famously HATES it when people break (they even address that in SNL's 40th anniversary show), so most cast members try really hard not to break.
Fired? Heidi's break and Mickey 's lip make that squetch a Hall of Fame one!
99% of us couldn't agree more !
I have a question, the show isn't really live right? I mean, the producers saw the tape and approve it before air it.
@@GabrielGarcia-jf2uc SNL has some squetches pre-recorded and edited, but for the most part is live TV, as this one. They do dress rehearsals and such but in this case it seems Mickey Day did not wear the final characterisation, so when they went live it was a shock!🤣
@@PabloVestory ok, now I know that the sketch was live, I now understand why they didn't do another take, but for the second part of your answer I saw behind the scene of the rehersal and she saw him dress in full character and lost it in there too lol.
@@GabrielGarcia-jf2uc Oh I did not know that, thanks! maybe just beacause of that, she went live thinking something like "I''m not going to break, I'm not going to break..."😅 antologic anyway
She is so incredible and that sketch was hilarious and her laughing made it even funnier. Loved it.
I would have lost it too!!!! That was hilarious!!!
I’ve never realized how beautiful her laugh is, it warms me
There's nothing strange about communal living. Rich people used to do it with boarding houses. The antiseptic vision of mid-20th century suburban America is expensive and unnatural unless you're wealthy and can afford to replace social networks with hired help.
I've had a crush on this girl for years.
Same❤
She's newly single now, but still has the cute appeal of a 20-year old!!!
She somehow gets better looking every week
What? What? I thought I was the only one who appreciated her look and energy?? LOL seriously, seriously, I have thought well, not all guys would appreciate her slightly less traditional look, but we all would take her over any model.
@@peterg5383foreallll❤
Best SNL sketch in decades. Those interviewers are terrible
many, many, many others
Heidi is the best person on the cast, and her laughing made that the funniest sketch of the year
She's the new generation cast. Part of that is Kenan Thompson who's an old pro and has been funny thru the years. He's steadfastly highly rated in his sketches. But to me the best times were in the past with many wonderful performances by previous cast members.
The whole point of SNL is to make people laugh and laughing is contagious. Jimmy Fallon made a whole career out of breaking character, you laugh all you want baby girl!
She is very chill and laid back. I like her.
I’m guessing they didn’t have full make up in dress rehearsal. Best skit ever 😂😂😂😂
There was a behind the scenes showing the rehearsals somewhere and Mikey looked just like he did in the sketch and she laughed every time. 😂
She is not my usual type, but I have such a crush on this woman.
She has that funny, adorable quality that Goldie Hawn had when she was starting out.
My 3 adult children have all moved back into the family home, all 3 have partners and my oldest has his two kids. I’ve been out of the house with my husband’s home. They seem so much happier, they have been able to go back to college and save tons of money.
This was one of the greatest SNL episodes ever!
Heidi looks a lot like Kristen Schaal. They could be sisters in an upcoming sitcom
That's actually a good idea. She looked familiar to me but I didn't know how she did.
Now I can't unsee it!
The first time I saw her, I genuinely thought she was Kristen Schaal. It was the Tasty Toaster Tarts sketch.
Dua Lipa NAILED it…she was great in everything she did…great show!
She’s so pretty in the most unconventional way
I love how nobody who knows Lorne Michaels can't quote him without doing an impersonation of him.
She’s brilliant and I love her.
I watched this episode. It was funny!😆😂🤣
This whole episode of SNL was an absolute win. This sketch, the cold open, the Weekend Update, it was the best whole ep in a long time.
they needed it...not many great bits anymore
That was the episode with Ryan Gosling. During every sketch, someone was breaking a little. It was a great episode.
She’s not the longest running cast member Hoda. Heidi is literally in that sketch with the longest running cast mate Kenan Thompson. Just saying.
Between this, and "Lisa From Temecula," breaking character in SNL has made it surprisingly enjoyable.
What's funny is SNL freaking out because they FINALLY did something mildly funny and now they cant stop talking about it, that is hilarious ROFLMFAO
EPIC skit loved it!!
Heidi’s laugh was the best thing about the sketch!
Heidi is hilarious!! Love her ❤
Just love Heidi, she is so talented and has more than earned her spot on snl! Hopes she stays on for a long time like Kenan!!
I don’t understand why she feared she’d get fired. The best SNL sketches are the ones when the actors break and uncontrollably laugh
Look at SNLs most popular videos. The top videos are almost all sketches where they break!
of course...they are blowing this way out of proportion
i dunno, half of me thinks she laughed on purpose to make the skit funnier but it worked like a charm
About time she’s gotten the recognition she deserves!!!
The funniest part was Mikey Day’s look right when Heidi turns to look at him, he wanted to *DESTROY* her. 😂
Heidi is absolute joy!
Heidi made that skit the absolute stuff of legend. Its going to spawn a movie, I know it. They even went to a movie premier dressed as Beavis and Butthead.
Heidi may be an adhd genius. She is truly brilliant.
She’s so good, love her in skits.
Heidi is SO rad! So beautiful and talented.
fired? The best thing to happen to SNL in a long time.
That was the best part!
Skipping Octavia was crazy
Saturday night live did the exact skit that made fun of people skipping the black celebs on this exact game. Classic!
Heidi was so ironclad before, it was absolutely adorable that she finally broke.
Game changer if Ryan Gosling became a cast member of SNL
She is super funny, great SNL value here
She’s wearing the Seinfeld puffy shirt
Maybe Hoda and Jenna could be in a PDD sketch? Also, Heidi is so pretty!
If it wasn’t for her breaking, I wouldn’t have laughed. She saved the sketch. It was a sincere break, very becoming of her.
Saturday Night Live as a whole is back to making us laugh again. Hiding is also getting better looking. It's time to get in some Movies❤
Are you kidding Heidi, that was the best part of that whole skit.
That scene was so funny because she broke character. 😂
That was the most I've ever laughed at an SNL sketch ever since Will Ferrell was Alex Trebek on the show lol
She should get a raise! she hadn't laugh like that, i wouldn't have peed my pants
Still cracks me up
Seemed like there was an undertone of tension between Hoda and Jenna during and after the game.. which is very relatable.. lol
I think something about Gosling being on that episode had everybody breaking a little bit, not just Heidi. I think half the cast had a “break” moment that show.
She is soo cute with that nose! Adorable!!😊❤
Indeed - she was terrific.
i totally understand her reaction afterwards of feeling not professional and worrying about her job. that being said, you'd think looking back at viral sketches where people break, she'd see that fans actually love it. it makes people feel like they're /in/ on the actual scene, imo. honestly don't think this would have went viral if not for the break. same w/ the famous debbie downer sketch w/ lohan. same w/ gosling breaking in the alien abduction scenes.
Same with "more cowbell" and christopher walken and will ferrel and blue oyster cult ...
Breaking character is part of the fun & attraction, SNL should know that by now if they don't, so not sure why these actors think they will get fired from breaking if it has been happening since the debut of this show.
I love her.
Fired? This was so amazing! Props to her, it was so great.
SNL Legend.
Heidi is absolutely adorable. ❤
Heidi is the best! After shuffling through family photos, Mikey Day as butthead is a welcome sight
People love it when they break character but I know that supposedly Lorne Michaels *HATES* it. I suspect the truth is he knows that when they seldom break, it makes when they do even more funny so he wants it to be a rare thing.
