  • In the this video tutorial for Farm Sim 22 and Giant's Editor 9.0.3 we are going to take a really quick look at the GRLE converter. I'll show you where to download it from, where to keep it on your computer, how to use it, and last but not least why you should use it.

Sir, I was wondering if you could create a new grle file for an existing map to let the game recognize it and let me play it again. Short story, I have steam saving my savegames, (will not discuss the validity of that,) I had a no man's land map I was playing on. Things happened and now when I start the game, it sees all of my maps except the savegame6 files. After downloading all the files from steam to try and save it, one file will not download, steam download says "not found". so I'm thinking this may be why the game won't show up. If I could create a new file to stick in there for it to see, I think it may work. the file in question is *_infoLayer_sprayLevel.grle" of that particular savegame location. Please let me know if you're interested, if it's possible, or if you want me to buzz off.

I know your saves are in the cloud, but are your backup saves as well? Check your backup folder and see if your backup saves are there - that would be the easiest route. If you're playing a standard size map, just download the sprayLevel.grle from the base game and put it into your current map. Just be warned that depending on the state of your fields, etc. it will reset all of the spray level states on your save.

So the infoLayer_fruitDensity needs to be 2048x2048 on a standard map?

Hi mate, I would like to latert the grow stage of a current game, so in my save game i found the "densityMap_fruits.gdm" and I converted to png and altered the growth stage (i guess)... but now how can I convert back to gdm file?

If it's a save game, just leave it as a png and the game will convert it itself as long as the original is not there. Don't delete the original, just rename it or move it somewhere else in case you Bork things.

@@bauerbrown Thanks mate, you problably already knew, but it worrked! I had a field which didn't germinated for any reason, and I had to wait a full year to let the crop germinate... now I got the field matched with the month
